  • Publication number: 20180196448
Abstract: A system and method for dispensing an injection material to an injection point. The injection material is stored in a tank and disposed to parallel piped vessels. An orifice is disposed in piping connected to discharge ends of the vessels, and has an opening with a designated cross sectional area. A high pressure fluid drives the injection material to the injection point; the pressure of the high pressure fluid is regulated with a pressure control valve. Valves in the inlet and discharge piping connected to the vessels are selectively opened and closed so that injection material flows to and from the vessels. Vessels vent to a recycle/recovery system to reduce vessel pressure enabling refilling with injection material. Valves in the pressurizing and depressurizing lines are selectively opened and closed to depressurize and refill the vessels to have continuous chemical injection to the injection location.

  • Publication number: 20180149357
Abstract: A system and method for recycling flare gas back to a processing facility that selectively employs different numbers of ejector legs depending on the flare gas flowrate. The ejector legs include ejectors piped in parallel, each ejector has a flare gas inlet and a motive fluid inlet. Valves are disposed in piping upstream of the flare gas and motive fluid inlets on the ejectors, and that are selectively opened or closed to allow flow through the ejectors. The flowrate of the flare gas is monitored and distributed to a controller, which is programmed to calculate the required number of ejector legs to accommodate the amount of flare gas. The controller is also programmed to direct signals to actuators attached to the valves, that open or close the valves, to change the capacity of the ejector legs so they can handle changing flowrates of the flare gas.

  • Patent number: 9855057
Abstract: A method for aligning an orthopedic implant in a joint replacement includes determining the bone and cartilage deficiency from an undegenerated state caused by wear of a joint. Then a resection of a bone in the joint is made based on the deficiency of bone and cartilage from the undegenerated state and the size of a joint implant so as to locate the joint surface of the implant in the undegenerated cartilage location. The condylar wear from the undegenerated states may be assessed at a distal and posterior location on each of a medial and a lateral femoral condyle. A distal cut is made on the femur at a location adjusting for the condylar wear from the undegenerated state. The distal cut varus-valgus angle is oriented parallel to a plane across the distal femur after adjusting for wear in the distal location on the medial and lateral condyle.
