  • Patent number: 11691897
Abstract: An aqueous feed stream having a first total dissolved solids (TDS) level is flowed to a forward osmosis separator. The aqueous feed stream includes seawater. An aqueous draw stream having a second TDS level is flowed to the forward osmosis separator. The second TDS level is greater than the first TDS level. A disposal stream and an injection fluid stream is produced by the forward osmosis separator by allowing water to pass from the aqueous feed stream to the aqueous draw stream through a membrane of the forward osmosis separator based on a difference between the first TDS level and the seconds TDS level. The injection fluid stream is flowed from the osmosis separator to a subterranean formation.

  • Publication number: 20230193142
Abstract: A crude oil demulsification system includes a vessel. A cyclonic separator is disposed outside the vessel. The cyclonic separator is configured to receive and separate phases of a multi-phase fluid stream into a gaseous stream and a liquid stream that includes a first liquid phase and a second liquid phase by inducing cyclonic flow. A heat exchanger is fluidically connected to the cyclonic separator. The heat exchanger is disposed outside the vessel, and is configured to receive the liquid stream and to heat the liquid stream by exchanging heat with a heating medium flowed through the heat exchanger. An electrostatic coalescer is fluidically connected to the heat exchanger and is disposed inside the vessel. The electrostatic coalescer is configured to receive the liquid stream heated by the heat exchanger and to demulsify the liquid stream by causing coalescence of liquid droplets of one of the first or second liquid phases.

  • Patent number: 11683265
Abstract: A network node receives a data packet. In response to receiving the data packet, the network node performs a lookup on a label stack of the data packet to determine a next hop for the data packet. The network node scans the label stack to identify a Structured Entropy Label (SEL). The SEL includes a Path Tracing Indicator (PTI). The network node computes Midpoint Compressed Data (MCD) as a result of the PTI being set to a pre-defined value. The network node records the MCD in a MCD stack of the data packet by shifting the MCD stack and stamping the MCD on top of the MCD stack. The network node transmits the data packet to the next hop with the recorded MCD stack. The network sink node encapsulates the received data packet to generate an encapsulated data packet and transmits the data packet.

  • Publication number: 20230179382
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a first base station may receive, from one or more aggressor base stations, a first set of reference signals associated with cross-link interference (CLI) channel measurements. The first base station may identify the second base station based on receiving a second set of reference signals from each aggressor base station from the set, where each aggressor base station transmits downlink signals that interfere with uplink signals at the first base station. The first base station may measure the first set of reference signals to obtain a CLI channel measurement and transmit a measurement report indicating the CLI channel measurements. In some examples, the first base station, the second base station, or both may perform one or more CLI mitigation procedures based on the CLI channel measurements.

  • Publication number: 20230171072
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for cross-link interference (CLI) measurement and estimation in one or more cells that are inactive or dormant. A user equipment (UE) operating in a first serving cell (e.g., a primary cell (PCell)) may measure one or more reference signals, with the measurements used to estimate one or more CLI measurements of one or more other cells (e.g., one or more secondary cells (SCells)). CLI estimates may be based on scaling factors associated with frequency locations of the PCell and SCell, may be based on a coupling loss estimate associated with different frequency bands, or combinations thereof.

  • Publication number: 20230170956
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Communication devices may perform secret key generation using a set of line-of-sight (LOS) communication modes to secure a physical channel. For example, a first device and a second device may communicate a set of reference signals over the physical channel using a set of LOS communication modes. The first device and the second device may generate a secret key based on the set of LOS communication modes, for example, by using information associated with the set of LOS communication modes to compute the secret key using a key derivation function that outputs the secret key. The first device and the second device may secure the physical channel by encrypting signaling between the first device and the second device with the secret key and communicating the signaling over the physical channel using LOS communications.

  • Patent number: 11658723
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may operate in accordance with a full-duplex communication mode and may be scheduled for an uplink transmission without a simultaneous downlink reception. For example, the UE may actively operate both a first one or more antenna panels for transmission and a second one or more antenna panels for reception and, in scenarios in which the UE is performing an uplink transmission without simultaneously receiving a downlink transmission, the UE may use self-interference from the uplink transmission at the second one or more antenna panels for energy harvesting. For example, the UE may receive the self-interference associated with the uplink transmission at the second one or more antenna panels, may refrain from applying interference cancellation, and may instead use a received energy from the self-interference to power one or more components of the UE.

  • Publication number: 20230156762
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to estimate interference for concurrent uplink and downlink communications based on an indication of one or more one or more characteristics of an interfering uplink signal communicated between a base station and a second user equipment (UE). The base station or the second UE may transmit, to a first UE, an indication of one or more characteristics of an uplink signal, such as a baseband of the uplink signal or one or more parameters of the uplink signal. The first UE may use the characteristic(s) of the uplink signal to estimate the baseband of the uplink signal and cancel interference associated with the uplink signal. For example, the first UE may use the baseband signal to estimate the interference and may subtract the estimated interference from a downlink signal received at the first UE.

  • Publication number: 20230155798
Abstract: To enable full-duplex communication in a time division duplexing (TDD) band, a network node (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) may be configured to communicate in one or more flexible bandwidth parts (BWPs) using BWP-specific TDD patterns regardless of a TDD pattern configured for the underlying band. However, in some cases, half-duplex communication may offer better performance than full-duplex communication (e.g., when full-duplex communication may cause self-interference or there is a need for high throughput half-duplex communication). Accordingly, some aspects described herein relate to timing considerations and switching indications for indicating an interval in which the network node is to operate in the flexible BWP using the BWP-specific TDD pattern and switching between the BWP-specific TDD pattern and the TDD pattern of the underlying band (e.g., using switching indications based on a number or quantity of transmission time intervals and/or a timer, among other examples).
