    Abstract: An antenna apparatus for calibrating one or more of a plurality of antenna elements of an antenna array using one or more probes is disclosed. The apparatus includes an upconverter and/or downconverter (UDC) circuit and a calibration arrangement that includes a switching circuit. The switching circuit is configured to enable operation of the UDC in a first mode or in a second mode. When the UDC is in the first mode, the one or more probes are electrically disconnected from the UDC circuit and the UDC may be connected to at least one of the antenna elements. When the UDC is in the second mode, at least one of the one or more probes is connected to the UDC circuit.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a material with high anti-explosivity and vaporization reduction, which is an alloy of aluminum, nano activated carbon or nano graphene and a plurality of other metal elements in the form of an engineered mesh (cylindrical forms—inner jacket) that represents 2% of the internal volume of the content of oil, its derivatives and gas. The material has high absorptivity and high absorptivity, suppresses the movement of gas particles and fumes, improves the flash point by 35%, the ignition temperature by 40% and reduces evaporation by 70%, thereby preventing the explosion of oil, its derivatives and gas upon exposure (fire, collision, static electricity, high heat, being struck by a projectile). Separately, the polymer sodium polyacrylate is added to crude oil to improve its properties and protect it from explosion.

In some examples, the base station may transmit a first-stage DCI including partial information, and second-stage DCIs including full uplink and downlink grants for a full duplex operation. The method includes determining conditions of a first device associated with a user. The method includes determining, based on the conditions, a first signal strength to a first network that the first device is currently connected in which to perform a communication and a second signal strength to a second network that the first device is configured to utilize in performing the communication. As a result of each of the first signal strength and the second signal strength not satisfying a minimum threshold individually, the method includes generating an overall signal having an overall signal strength by layering the first network over the second network. The overall signal strength has a comparatively greater signal strength than the first signal strength and the second signal strength. The method includes performing the communication using the overall signal.

    Abstract: An example VGA includes a transistor arrangement having a plurality of transistors configured to realize one or more gain step circuits of the VGA, and a cross-couple switching arrangement having a plurality of switches configured to selectively change the coupling of the terminals of at least some of the transistors depending on whether a given gain step circuit is supposed to be in an ON state or in an OFF state. Using the cross-couple switching arrangement advantageously allows keeping all of the transistors ON at all times during operation and changing the coupling of some transistor terminals to either realize an in-phase addition of currents flowing through various transistors to apply the maximum gain or realize a subtraction of currents to apply the minimum gain. Such a VGA may be inherently wideband, enabling a highly linear, wideband operation without having to resort to significant trade-offs with other performance parameters.
