  • Publication number: 20240406032
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device may receive a first signal from a second wireless device and may identify a first bundle size for a precoding resource group (PRG) based on a characteristic of the first signal and, in some examples, based on performing channel estimation on the first signal. The first wireless device may transmit a feedback message to the second wireless device indicating a second bundle size for the PRG and associated with a second signal based on identifying the first bundle size. In some examples, the first wireless device may receive the second signal on a set of resources in accordance with the second bundle size. The first signal may be an example of a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS), and the second signal may be an example of a precoded CSI-RS or a demodulation reference signal (DMRS).

  • Publication number: 20240397540
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to estimate interference for concurrent uplink and downlink communications based on an indication of one or more one or more characteristics of an interfering uplink signal communicated between a base station and a second user equipment (UE). The base station or the second UE may transmit, to a first UE, an indication of one or more characteristics of an uplink signal, such as a baseband of the uplink signal or one or more parameters of the uplink signal. The first UE may use the characteristic(s) of the uplink signal to estimate the baseband of the uplink signal and cancel interference associated with the uplink signal. For example, the first UE may use the baseband signal to estimate the interference and may subtract the estimated interference from a downlink signal received at the first UE.

  • Publication number: 20240396651
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques may allow for a victim user equipment (UE) to perform cross-link interference (CLI) measurements in a guard band. The victim UE may receive a resource configuration from a network entity to perform CLI received strength signal indicator (RSSI) measurements in the guard band resources. Additionally, or alternatively, the victim UE may receive a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource configuration from the network entity to perform CLI reference signal received power (RSRP) measurements in the guard band resources. In such examples, the aggressor UE may receive an SRS resource configuration from the network entity for transmitting SRSs to the victim UE in the guard band resources. The control signaling configuring the SRS resources may indicate, to the aggressor UE, a threshold transmit power, a transmit beam restriction, or both, with which to transmit the SRSs.

  • Publication number: 20240388941
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless communications system may employ subband full-duplex (SBFD). In SBFD resources, a first user equipment (UE) may experience cross link interference (CLI) from a second UE if the second UE transmits using a frequency that is similar to a frequency of the subbands used by the first UE. The network may configure a CLI measurement resource in an SBFD time resource and may indicate in which subbands to measure CLI. The network may also indicate the reporting quantities (e.g., whether to report CLI measurement information per subband or combined per communication direction). CLI measurements may be generated in a subband manner. A CLI measurement for a CLI subband that overlaps with different subbands may be generated for the uplink subband only, may be generated for both the uplink subband and the guard band, or may be skipped.

  • Publication number: 20240380450
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitted may use a closed loop precoder for line-of-sight (LOS) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications that uses information such as distance feedback or LOS MIMO channel state feedback. A closed loop precoder may be associated with less overhead than a precoder based on full channel knowledge, such as an SVD precoder. A receiver may estimate a channel based on channel state information reference signals transmitted by the transmitter and calculate a spectral efficiency for one or more precoders of a set of precoders associated with the channel for a LOS MIMO mode. The receiver may send feedback to the transmitter that indicates a selected precoder of the set of LOS MIMO precoders based on the calculated spectral efficiencies. The transmitter may precode messages using the reported closed loop precoder.
