  • Patent number: 9124008
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a shell having a mating end and a termination end. The shell has a securing feature configured to secure the shell to a mating connector. The shell has a cavity that extends between the mating end and the termination end. A terminal subassembly includes a dielectric insert that is configured to be held within the cavity of the shell. The dielectric insert is configured to hold terminals such that mating interfaces of the terminals are configured to mate with corresponding terminals of the mating connector and such that termination interfaces of the terminals are configured to be terminated to a cable. The dielectric insert is a modular insert that is configured to hold the terminals when the termination interfaces are flat interfaces and is also configured to hold the terminals when the termination interfaces are crimp interfaces.

  • Publication number: 20150169835
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of assessing a patient is provided. In some embodiments, the method includes displaying a first set of queries concerning a patient and receiving a response to at least one of the queries, the response indicating that the patient has recently experienced at least one of (i) losing consciousness, (ii) falling, and (iii) being uncertain about whether the patient has lost consciousness. Processing of responses to further query sets can be utilized to determine a differential diagnosis and recommendations regarding hospital admission, treatment, follow-up medical tests, and billing codes for the patient's condition that may have led to her faint or fall.

  • Patent number: 8406871
Abstract: The disclosure includes methods and systems for treating cardiac arrhythmias. Some methods for treating an abnormal heart rhythm include determining a change in a sinus node cycle length of a heart of a patient between a time prior to the abnormal heart rhythm and a time during the abnormal heart rhythm; when the change is within a first range, delivering a first therapy to the patient for treating the abnormal heart rhythm; and when the change is within a second range, delivering a second therapy to the patient for treating the abnormal heart rhythm, wherein the first therapy is different from the second therapy. In some embodiments, the first therapy may include shock therapy and the second therapy may include anti-tachycardia pacing.

  • Patent number: 8358823
Abstract: A tumor is tracked in sequences of bi-plane images by generating a set of segmentation hypotheses using a 3D model of the tumor, a bi-plane geometry, and a previous location of the tumor as determined from the pairs of biplane images. Volume prior probabilities are constructed based on the set of hypotheses. Seed pixels are selected using the volume prior probabilities, and a bi-plane dual image graph is constructed using intensity gradients and the seed pixels to obtaining segmentation masks corresponding to tumor boundaries using the image intensities to determine a current location of the tumor.

  • Patent number: 8285374
Abstract: The disclosure includes methods and systems for treating ventricular arrhythmias. Embodiments include an implantable cardiac device or system including a determining module that determines a value of a parameter indicative of a rate of an intrinsic pacemaker of a heart of a patient experiencing fast ventricular arrhythmia (FVA) and a delivery module, programmed to deliver therapy for ventricular arrhythmias to a patient. Some methods include determining a value of a parameter indicative of a rate of an intrinsic pacemaker of a heart of a patient experiencing an FVA; if the value indicates the rate is about equal to or higher than a threshold, delivering a first therapy to the patient for terminating the FVA, and if the value indicates the rate is lower than the threshold, delivering a second therapy, different from the first therapy, to the patient for terminating the FVA.

  • Publication number: 20070044044
Abstract: One or more portions of the design (e.g., components, channels, or portions thereof) can be assigned instances of one or more component power domains (CPDs). Assigning an instance of a CPD to a design element (or to a portion thereof) can indicate, for example, whether the element can be switched on and off, or whether the element can operate over a range of voltages. The CPD instances can, in turn, be assigned to one or more design power domains (DPDs). Assignments of a CPD to a DPD can be evaluated according to a set of compatibility rules. Two or more electronic design elements can be connected by one or more signal paths. Organizing the CPD instances into DPDs can aid in finding signal paths that cross from a first DPD to a second DPD. To improve the reliability of signal paths traversing a DPD boundary, one or more power domain interface (PDI) components can be created to handle the signal paths at the boundary.

  • Patent number: 4725389
Abstract: A method for foaming and sintering of foamable plastic employing a control method based on the detection of the softening time point during the sintering steam application in the sintering process step. The softening time point is detected by analysis of a change in the rising speed of the pressure or temperature, and the related pressure and temperature values are used for determining the maximum dismission temperature and pressure of the sintered product. The sintering time is determined in relation to the softening time point and the quality demanded. A feed back control to the prefoaming and drying process step is provided. A feed back control by means of a quality measurement at the sintered part to the sintering is provided. Incremental controls are provided for adaptive process optimization.
