  • Patent number: 10986551
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for managing a low latency of handover of MH comprising the steps of: determining imminence handover of the MH whether intra-domain or inter-domain using hybrid location tracking scheme, initiating an intra-domain handover mechanism if the handover is the intra-domain handover through transmitting the MH's context transfer towards multiple new MAG domain based on MCE list; initiating an inter-domain handover mechanism if the handover is the inter-domain handover through transmitting the MH's context transfer towards multiple fLMA domain based on the HLCE list; and redirecting all traffic towards the MH. The above provision is advantageous as it provides a hybrid latency low intra/inter-domain handover mechanism, which proactively coordinates MH's handover process as well as maintains MH's data session continually during its intra/inter-domain roaming within/across PMIPv6 domain respectively.

  • Patent number: 10077728
Abstract: Techniques for a mild hybrid vehicle utilize a control system for detecting a deceleration fuel shutoff (DFSO) event where fueling to an engine is disabled and in response to detecting the DFSO event: determining a desired pumping loss for the engine based on a parameter of a battery system, the desired pumping loss corresponding to a desired amount of electrical energy that a motor generator unit (MGU) of a belt-driven starter generator (BSG) system will generate to charge the battery system; commanding a throttle valve of the engine to an initial position determined based on the desired engine pumping loss and a speed of the engine; estimating an actual pumping loss of the engine based on an estimated airflow into the engine; and adjusting the position of the throttle valve based on a difference between the desired and actual engine pumping losses.

  • Publication number: 20170181007
Abstract: The present innovation relates to a method for a placement of Internet Gateway (IGW) in a Backbone Wireless Mesh Networks (BWMNs) comprising: selecting the proper IGW (100); calculating the largest path the one degree nodes can reach with delay constraint (200); assigning Web Mesh Routers (WMRs) nodes to the identified IGW (300); forming a cluster with the largest degree node is the identified IGW (400); recalculating the position of IGW for intra-load balancing (500); assigning the node that has the maximum load radio to be the new IGW of the cluster (600); updating the rest of BWMN nodes (700); and forming the next clusters until no more WMR left (800). The present invention provides IGWs placement in the design phase while satisfying load balancing among IGWs and WMRs and under QoS constraints. The balancing acts encompass balancing over the load among IGWs of the entire BWMN and balancing over the load among WMRs of the entire BWMN.
