  • Patent number: 11621758
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with other network devices as part of a wireless communications system. The UE may identify a blockage corresponding to one or more antenna arrays of a set of antenna arrays based on using a first set of beam weights, which may correspond to a static beamforming codebook of the one or more antenna arrays. The UE may switch from a static beamforming codebook-based beam weight determination to a dynamic beamforming codebook-based beam weight determination. The UE may then determine a second set of beam weights to use for the one or more antenna arrays based on the dynamic beamforming codebook-based beam weight determination. The UE may then communicate using the one or more antenna arrays according to the second set of beam weights.

  • Publication number: 20230053186
Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus for wireless charging are disclosed. A wireless charging device has a resonant circuit including one or more power transmitting coils in a charging surface of the charging device, a driver circuit configured to provide a charging current to the resonant circuit, and a controller. The controller is configured to determine an average transmitted power using samples of current and voltage captured from the resonant circuit, and determine that a foreign object is located on or near the charging surface when the average transmitted power exceeds a measurement of received power provided by a receiving device and parasitic losses associated with the wireless charging device. In one example, each sample of current is obtained by measuring a current flowing in the resonant circuit, and each of sample of voltage is obtained by measuring a voltage across the one or more power transmitting coils.

  • Patent number: 11580934
Abstract: An electronic device may have a display with an array of pixels. The device may have an array of components such as an array of light sensors for capturing fingerprints of a user through an array of corresponding transparent windows in the display. A capacitive touch sensor, proximity sensor, force sensor, or other sensor may be used by control circuitry in the device to monitor for the presence of a user's finger over the array of light sensors. In response, the control circuitry can direct the display to illuminate a subset of the pixels, thereby illuminating the user's finger and causing reflected light from the finger to illuminate the array of light sensors for a fingerprint capture operation. The display may have display driver circuitry that facilitates the momentary illumination of the subset of pixels with uniform flash data while image data is displayed in other portions of the display.
