  • Publication number: 20240230336
Abstract: Route planning for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is disclosed. A map of a region is partitioned into geographic cells, data about flight conditions in each cell is aggregated, and a cost for each cell is calculated based on weighted flight condition factors. A plurality of flight paths from a first point to a second point are determined, and a cost for each flight path is determined by summing the cost of each cell traversed by the flight path. An optimal flight path is selected from the plurality of flight paths in dependence upon the total cost of each flight path. When new information is obtained that affects the cost of the cells the flight path, the cost of the current flight path is recalculated along with the costs of alternative flight paths to determine whether a route should be altered.

  • Patent number: 12009771
Abstract: A doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) speed control system is provided. The system includes a wind turbine and a wound rotor induction generator connected to the wind turbine through a drive train system and to a power grid. The system further includes a back-to-back voltage source converter (VSC) with a rotor side converter (RSC) and a grid side converter (GSC). The RSC is connected to the wound rotor induction generator and the GSC is connected to the power grid. A wind profile sensor measures a wind profile and a VSC controller provides control to the RSC and the GSC. The VSC controller applies a nonsingular fast terminal sliding mode control (NSFTSMC) scheme at the RSC at least partially based on the received wind profile to stabilize a rotor speed of the wound rotor induction generator.

  • Patent number: 11989669
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, non-transitory computer-readable media, and methods for intelligently determining to assess (or not assess) a cancellation penalty and notifying a requestor device of such a penalty in response to either a requestor's selection to cancel a single transportation request for a requestor or a requestor's selection to cancel a shared-transportation request associated with multiple requestors. For example, the disclosed systems can generate conversion probabilities for a requestor reflecting if a cancellation penalty is assessed—and if the cancellation penalty is not assessed—for a cancellation of a transportation request for transport of a lone requestor. Based on the conversion probabilities, the disclosed systems customize a cancellation notice for a requestor device to either include or exclude the cancellation penalty.
