Patent number: 10762793Abstract: Systems and methods for selecting a runway record for a target runway are provided. The system includes: a first database having a first runway record with a first runway threshold; a second database having a second runway record with a second runway threshold; a transceiver for receiving an ILS signal; and a computer system. The computer system is configured to determine when the ILS signal is substantially zero. When the ILS signal is substantially zero, the computer system is configured to receive, from one or more databases, a plurality of runway records including corresponding runway thresholds; and select a most accurate runway record from the plurality of runway records based, at least in part, on which of the corresponding runway thresholds deviates least from the aiming point. In various embodiments, the most accurate runway record is then utilized for rendering images in a cockpit display system.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2018Date of Patent: September 1, 2020Assignee: HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC.Inventors: Anoop S, Mohammed Ibrahim Mohideen, Naveen Bansal

Patent number: 10597328Abstract: A lightweight structural concrete formulation comprises a wet mix of about 460 kg/m3 of cementitious material such as ordinary Portland cement of which about 50 percent has been replaced by ground granulated basic furnace slag (GGBFS) and 7 percent by silica fume (SF) in other words the mix introduces between about 178 and 228 kg/m3 therefore the combination is good to produce secondary reaction products when the cement hydrates which produces secondary calcium silicate hydrate (C—S—H) which makes the structure dense and thereby increases its mechanical durability characteristics of the concrete product. Possible ratios of GGBFS and SF are 30-70 percent and 5-10 percent, respectively. By making the structures dense increases the mechanical and durability characteristics of the concrete product. Other ratios have been made including GGBFS of 30-70 percent and silica fume 5-10 percent, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2018Date of Patent: March 24, 2020Assignee: KING FAHD UNIVERSITY OF PETROLEUM AND MINERALSInventors: Mohammed Ibrahim, Mohammed Salihu Barry, Luai M. Patent number: 10179655Abstract: A system is provided for generating an alert to the presence of emission vapors for a low altitude in-flight aircraft. An obstacle database and a terrain database provide parameters for obstacles and terrain features to a synthetic vision processor. The processor creates a graphic overlay of the terrain and obstacles that is combined with thermal images of emission vapors by a combined vision processor to create a combined synthetic image. An emissions threat calculator analyzes the synthetic image for the presence of emission vapors. If any emission vapors are detected in proximity to the aircraft, an alert and suggested maneuvers to avoid the emission vapors are sent to the aircraft.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2017Date of Patent: January 15, 2019Assignee: HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC.Inventors: Jeevish Glastine Gurumoorthi, Mohammed Ibrahim Mohideen, Prabhudev Bhuyar
