  • Publication number: 20150035854
Abstract: Techniques are described for rendering objects formed by implicit surfaces using ray-tracing, where each implicit surface is defined by a surface equation. The techniques utilize presence of real-roots to determine which implicit surfaces are intersected by a ray. If all implicit surfaces classified as uncomplemented surfaces intersect the ray, and none of the implicit surfaces classified as completed surfaces intersect the ray, the techniques determine a maximum from among a set of real-root values of the surface equations for the uncomplemented surfaces to determine an intersection point of the ray. The techniques utilize the intersection point for further processing such as per-pixel color and depth processing.

  • Publication number: 20140333133
Abstract: An integrated circuit includes a set of electronic circuits, a voltage regulator, and a power management module. The power management module includes a set of dummy circuits connected to the set of electronic circuits, a control signal generator, a counter and a shift register. The control signal generator generates a control signal based on the current consumption of the set of electronic circuits dropping below a threshold value over a predefined period of time. The counter generates a count signal for a predetermined time period when the control signal is activated. The shift register receives the count signal, enables the dummy circuits when the count signal is received, and disables the dummy circuits in a daisy chain fashion during the predetermined time period.

  • Publication number: 20140289021
Abstract: Cross-domain integration within product lifecycle management can include providing a plurality of finite state machines (FSMs), wherein each FSM is associated with one business object of an integration flow between a first enterprise information system and a second enterprise information system. Each FSM defines a plurality of lifecycle states of the associated business object. A business rule can be associated with each lifecycle state of each FSM. For each FSM, the associated business rules are independent of the FSM. For a selected lifecycle state of each FSM, the associated business rule defines a condition causing a transition from the selected lifecycle state to a next lifecycle state of the FSM. A network of the plurality of FSMs is established by providing communication links among individual ones of the plurality of FSMs according to the business rules. The communication links define the integration flow.

  • Publication number: 20120045592
Abstract: A plasma based deposition process to deposit thin film on the inner surfaces of the shaped objects such as plastic or metallic object like bottles, hollow tubes etc. at room temperature has been developed. In present invention uniform hydrogenated amorphous carbon (also called Diamond-Like Carbon, DLC) films on inner surfaces of plastic bottles is successfully deposited. Applications of such product include entire food and drug industries. There is a huge demand of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or polyethylene naphthalate (PEN)) bottles, meant for the storage of potable water, carbonated soft drinks, wines, medicines etc. However, the higher cost prohibits their wide, spread use. The cheaper alternative is to use plastic bottles inside coated with chemically inert material such as Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) will be commercially viable. Inventor process can be scaled up for mass production.

  • Publication number: 20110218097
Abstract: A catalyst for hydrotreating, especially hydrodesulfurization, of residua and heavy crudes is prepared by synthesizing the support from titanium and boehmite, to form either a titanium/alumina support (TiO2/Al2O3) or a titanium-alumina support (TiO2—Al2O3) that is thereafter provided with at least one hydrogenating metal from group VIB in oxide form and a promoter from group VIII also in oxide form. The (TiO2/Al2O3) support is prepared from boehmite, which is peptized by using an inorganic acid, then extruded, calcined and impregnated with a solution containing titanium, while the (TiO2—Al2O3) support is prepared by admixing boehmite with a titanium-containing solution, peptized using an inorganic acid, extruded and calcined to obtain the titanium-alumina support.

  • Publication number: 20110100875
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for synthesizing a hydroprocessing catalyst, wherein the support is prepared by mixing peptized aluminium with amorphous silica or with crystalline aluminium silicate as a catalyst component. The catalyst comprises a metal from group VIB and/or a metal from group VIIIB of the Periodic Table. The catalyst exhibits enhanced activity vis-à-vis hydrodisintegration, hydrodemetallization and hydrodesulphurization, and has a relatively stable life as a function of run time. Thus, the invention relates to a method for developing a catalyst for hydroprocessing heavy hydrocarbon feedstocks, which is characterized in that it comprises two steps: the first step involves optimization of the catalyst formulation with respect to textural properties, the number of acid sites and incorporation of the active metal; the second step involves evaluation with real feedstocks and the stability of the catalyst as is function of run time.
