  • Publication number: 20240281332
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for dynamically generating and applying automated search evaluation sets to improve search results and to automatically detect and correct search system issues are described. A search evaluation set may comprise a set of search evaluation vectors that each map a search query and corresponding properties of the search query to a canonical search result. To detect search system issues over time, baseline search result rankings may be periodically generated or automatically generated after software updates to the search system have been made. Two consecutive baseline search result rankings using the same search evaluation set may then be compared to detect result deviations in search result rankings. If the search system detects that at least a threshold number of result deviations have occurred, then the search system may perform subsequent actions to automatically detect and correct search system issues.

  • Patent number: 12067017
Abstract: Data storage techniques for services in a network are described herein. In an example, a computer system determines a mapping between a first data schema associated with first data storage by a first service in a first data store and a second data schema associated with second data storage by a second service in a second data store. The computer system receives an event associated with an element and determines, based on the mapping and the event, an operation to be performed on a first attribute of the element that is stored in the first data store the second data store. The computer system generates, based on the mapping, notifications indicating a time for the operation associated with the first attribute to be performed by the first service and the second service. The computer system sends the notifications to the first service and to the second service.

  • Publication number: 20240275486
Abstract: A system for facilitating secure communications accesses a secure element in response to determining that an authorized user operates the system. The system causes a light emitter to emit an output light signal for detection by a second system. The output light signal is emitted according to a predefined field of view, which operates as a constraint to prevent devices outside of the field of view from detecting the output light signal. The system also configures the light detector to detect a second output light signal emitted by a second light emitter of the second system. In response to (i) detection of the output light signal by a second light detector of the second system and (ii) detection of the second output light signal by the light detector, the system enables secure communication between the system and the second system.

  • Patent number: 12061521
Abstract: Managing hardware function requests incurring variable response latencies is provided. A request for a hardware function is received from a requesting program. The requested hardware function is expected to incur a variable response latency and is implemented as a main hardware function and a retry hardware function. The main hardware function is executed. It is determined whether a fixed response latency of the main hardware function has been exceeded. A response is returned with a retry flag to the requesting program. The retry flag directs the requesting program to issue a request for the retry hardware function after an interval of time. A unique identifier corresponding to the main hardware function is provided to the requesting program.
