  • Patent number: 12126378
Abstract: An extended reality headset has light-based communication transceivers coupled to the extended reality headset. The relative position of a remote transceiver with respect to the current position and orientation of the extended reality headset is determined. A line-of-sight is calculated from the light-based communication transceivers to the remote transceiver. The light-based communication transceivers emit a light-based communications beam in accordance with the calculated line-of-sight. The light-based communications beam is adjusted in response to changes to the relative position of the remote transceiver with respect to the current position and orientation of the extended reality headset.

Abstract: Contact over active gate (COAG) structures with etch stop layers, and methods of fabricating contact over active gate (COAG) structures using etch stop layers, are described. In an example, an integrated circuit structure includes a plurality of gate structures above substrate, each of the gate structures including a gate insulating layer thereon. A plurality of conductive trench contact structures is alternating with the plurality of gate structures, each of the conductive trench contact structures including a trench insulating layer thereon. A first dielectric etch stop layer is directly on and continuous over the trench insulating layers and the gate insulating layers. A second dielectric etch stop layer is directly on and continuous over the first dielectric etch stop layer, the second dielectric etch stop layer distinct from the first dielectric etch stop layer. An interlayer dielectric material is on the second dielectric etch stop layer.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for wide frequency range voltage controlled oscillators. For example, an apparatus includes a Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) including a delay cell which includes first and second current sources provided in parallel with one another. The first current source is controlled by a voltage control input connected to a voltage control terminal and the second current source is controlled by a bias voltage input connected to a bias voltage terminal. The first current source provides an alternate current path in the delay cell when the second current source is off. The delay cell is operable to receive an input and produce an output using the alternate current path.

  • Publication number: 20240328387
Abstract: Systems and methods of predicting performance of one or more wind turbines are provided. Exemplary methods include entering data inputs and analyzing and estimating the data inputs. The data inputs include nacelle position information and/or wind condition information. A wake model is determined based on the analysis and estimating of the data inputs. Wind turbine behavior predictions are generated including predicted power outputs of the wind turbines and predicted effects of waking on the predicted power outputs. The data inputs can be adjusted to improve the wind turbine behavior predictions, and the wake model can be corrected by machine learning. By focusing on an observable quantity—power—based on other observable quantities like wind speed, yaw error, nacelle position, disclosed embodiments enable optimization to start immediately after the hardware and software are installed, and as the controller operates more in the field, additional training and validation data are collected.

  • Patent number: 12105514
Abstract: An autonomous mobile device (AMD) may move around a physical space to perform tasks. The AMD may explore the physical space to determine map data characterizing the physical space. An exploration system maintains a world snapshot that is representative of the AMD with respect to the physical space. A plurality of planning algorithm modules are available, each able to achieve a particular exploration goal or operate under particular conditions such as initial motion, loop closure, frontier exploration, and so forth. One or more planning algorithms are selected and provided with the world snapshot data. These planning algorithms provide responses and may also determine plan data. The resulting plan data is then selected for execution. The execution of the selected plan data operates the AMD to explore the physical space.

  • Publication number: 20240319735
Abstract: In conventional robot navigation techniques learning and planning algorithms act independently without guiding each other simultaneously. A method and system for robotic navigation with simultaneous local path planning and learning is disclosed. The method discloses an approach to learn and plan simultaneously by assisting each other and improve the overall system performance. The planner acts as an actuator and helps to balance exploration and exploitation in the learning algorithm. The synergy between dynamic window approach (DWA) as a planning algorithm and a disclosed Next best Q-learning (NBQ) as a learning algorithm offers an efficient local planning algorithm. Unlike the traditional Q-learning, dimension of Q-tree in the NBQ is dynamic and does not require to define a priori.
