  • Publication number: 20100001871
Abstract: An information request portion receives an information request signal transmitted to an information response portion at its own receiving port. The information request portion comprises at least either a power supply system anomaly determination portion or a ground anomaly determination portion. The power supply system anomaly determination portion determines a short-circuit between a signal line and a power supply system in a case where the information request signal received at the receiving port is always fixed to a H (high) level. The ground anomaly determination portion determines a short-circuit between a signal line and a ground in a case where the information request signal received at the receiving port is always fixed to a L (Low) level. Consequently, the anomaly region of the signal line connects the information request portion and the information response portion so that bidirectional digital communications are possible or the cause of the anomaly is specified.

  • Publication number: 20090284062
Abstract: A seat driving apparatus includes: a gear transmission mechanism, preventing a backlash by means of the wedge member applied with a biasing force of a biasing member and transmitting a torque; an actuator, operating a seatback of a seat; and a control unit, controlling driving of the actuator. The control unit includes a seat operation mode in which the actuator is driven to operate the seatback at a predetermined speed and a creep mode in which the actuator is driven at a slower speed than a speed in the seat operation mode. The actuator is driven in the creep mode until a load for releasing the holding of the gear transmission mechanism is applied to the wedge member and subsequently the actuator is driven in the seat operation mode when the seatback is operated in an opposite direction from the previous operational direction thereof.

  • Publication number: 20090243353
Abstract: A seat apparatus includes a seat adapted to be arranged on a floor of a vehicle, a motor driving the seat to move, and a control unit supplying electric power to the motor by controlling a duty ratio with duty cycle control. The control unit determines an initial start-up time in which the duty ratio is defined as a first duty ratio over a period between the time the motor is started up after being powered by the control unit and the time before the seat driven by the motor starts moving. The control unit reduces the duty ratio when the initial start-up time elapses and sets the duty ratio to a second duty ratio smaller than the first duty ratio when the seat starts moving.

  • Patent number: 7584037
Abstract: An occupant determining device includes a load detecting sensor provided on a seat body and a controller. The controller calculates a detected load value based on an output value of the load detecting sensor and performs occupant determination based on the detected load value. The occupant determination state is switched to an adult determination state when a certain delaying time elapses after the detected load value exceeds a determination threshold. The controller sets plural determination thresholds, and the larger each determination threshold being exceeded by the detected load value is, the shorter the delaying time is set.

  • Publication number: 20070265747
Abstract: Power is supplied to an ECU (20) from an on-vehicle battery (41). When an ignition switch (42) is switched from the OFF state to the ON state upon vehicle engine start, the ECU (20) is switched from the power saving mode to the normal mode and a CPU (31) executes initial processing. Moreover, when a user puts on a seat belt and a seat belt switch (44) is switched from the ON state to the OFF state, the ECU (20) is switched from the power saving mode to the normal mode and the CPU (31) executes the initial processing. Thus, the initial processing is executed at a comparatively short interval and it is possible to improve the reliability of the CPU (31).
