A resiliently clipping member 40 is provided at a terminal 35 to clip the coupling member 50 at the slide end of the notch 30. Further, the coupling member 50 has a thin joint piece, slidably contacting piece continued to the joint piece in a same plane, and a vertically contacting piece formed perpendicular to the slidably contacting piece. A wall to prevent the coupling member 50 from lateral displacement is provided at the notch 30, said wall being contacted with a side part of the coupling member 50.

    Abstract: A connector includes a housing, a front holder, a provisionally-retaining member and a completely-retaining member. The housing includes terminal receiving chambers in which metal terminals are accommodated and a plurality of elastic retaining arm portions for respectively retaining the metal terminals. The front holder is attached to the housing in a completely-retaining position through a provisionally-retaining position. The front holder prevents elastic deformation of the elastic retaining arm portions in the completely-retaining position but allows elastic deformation of the elastic retaining arm portions in the provisionally-retaining position. The completely-retaining member retains the front holder to the housing in the completely-retaining position and includes an operation portion for releasing the retaining of the housing and the holder, which is exposed to the exterior.

    Abstract: A pair of connector elements, one connector element having a locking arm, the other connector element having a hood for receiving the one connector element and a locking protrusion provided within the hood are locked in engagement by the locking arm and the locking protrusion when they are completely coupled with each other. When the connector elements are not used or before they are coupled with each other, a body for preventing the one connector element from being fit into the other connector element is inserted in the hood of the other connector element. The body has a locking arm to be engaged with the locking protrusion and a locking portion into which a dedicated jig for pulling out the body from the hood is to be inserted. Thus, in electric wiring (e.g., an air bag for motor vehicles), a connection of the connector elements is prevented with a false current is flowing through one of the connector elements, thus preventing error (e.g., an explosion in an inflator).

An intrusive insulating portion of the mating connector disconnects the terminal groups by electrically separating them in the coupled state.

    Abstract: An automatic running speed control system for an automotive vehicle in which there are provided a plurality of control switches including a set switch and capable of selectively setting changing drive conditions of a car and a control unit which includes a memory for storing set car speed, a comparator for comparing the actual car speed detected by a speed sensor with the set car speed read from the memory, and an overdrive cut circuit for inhibiting an overdrive condition of an automatic transmission when a fine speed reduction operation is performed by the operation of the set switch or speed reduction switch. With this construction, the automatic constant speed running of a car is performed so as to equalize the actual car speed to the set car speed stored in the memory, while the overdrive condition of the automatic transmission can be inhibited or prevented by the operation of a particular switch such as the set switch.
