    Abstract: A laser induced thermal imaging apparatus for imaging an imaging layer of a donor film on an acceptor substrate.     Abstract: In one embodiment, an organic light emitting display (OLED) includes a thin film transistor (TFT) disposed on a substrate. In addition, the display includes: an insulating layer disposed on the TFT and having a via hole; a pixel electrode disposed on the insulating layer and connected to a drain electrode of the TFT through the via hole; an emission layer disposed on the pixel electrode; and an opposite electrode pattern disposed on the emission layer and exposing at least an upper region of the via hole. This avoids close configuration proximity between the opposite electrode and the pixel layer thus reducing the possibility of a short circuit.

    Abstract: A flat panel display capable of reducing element defects by decreasing taper angles of contact holes and a via hole. The flat panel display includes a thin film transistor having at least source and drain electrodes formed over an insulating substrate, an insulating layer having a via hole for exposing one of the source and drain electrodes, and an anode connected to said one of the source and drain electrodes through the via hole. The via hole and the anode are tapered with taper angles of 60° or less. The source and drain electrodes are connected respectively to source and drain regions of the thin film transistor through the contact holes. The contact holes are also tapered with taper angles of 60° or less.

In one embodiment, an OLED device includes a substrate having a first anode electrode formed thereon. The first anode electrode is covered with an ultra-thin polymer film (reforming layer). An organic emission layer is formed over an upper surface of the reforming layer, and a second cathode electrode is formed over the organic emission layer. The reforming layer is made of a material selected from a general polymer that is a soluble polymer, a heat resistant polymer, and a fluorine-based polymer having one or more functional groups. The solution coating methods which may be used to apply the reforming layer include a spin coating method, a doctor blade method, a dip coating method, a roll coating method, a spray coating method, and an ink jet method.

The contact frame includes an opening through which the laser passes. A contact frame feed mechanism moves the contact frame in a direction of the substrate stage.
