  • Publication number: 20220039056
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) provides to a location server a recommendation or request for positioning technologies and methods that may be appropriate for the environment in which the UE is located. The UE may provide the recommendation or request may be a priority list of one or more specific positioning technologies, one or more specific methods of a positioning technology, a combination thereof. The UE based prioritization for positioning may be provided unsolicited or requested by the location server. The UE based prioritization for positioning may be provided as part of a message used in current positioning protocols, such as Long Term Evolution (LTE) Positioning Protocol (LPP), e.g., by ranking information elements (IEs) associated with each positioning technology and method in the body of the message or as part of a common IE.

  • Publication number: 20220030543
Abstract: In an embodiment, a wireless node (e.g., UE or BS) receives from a network component (e.g., BS or core network component) a request for a positioning estimate of a UE associated with a specified time. The wireless node performs positioning measurements at a plurality of times, and determines (e.g., via interpolation or extrapolation) the positioning estimate associated with the specified time based on the positioning measurements. The wireless node transmits, to the network component, a report comprising the determined positioning estimate.

  • Publication number: 20220007349
Abstract: In an embodiment, a UE transmits an on-demand PRS request for PRS(s) on selected frequency-domain resource(s) (e.g., frequency layer, frequency band, CC, etc.). In another embodiment, a UE receives, from a network component (e.g., BS, core network component, LMF, location server, etc.), configuration of frequency-domain resources (e.g., frequency layer, frequency band, CC, etc.), wherein each frequency-domain resource configuration is associated with a bandwidth and SCS. The UE further receives, from the network component, configuration of PRS(s), wherein each PRS is associated with a single frequency-domain resource from the frequency-domain resources. The UE determines a single reference TRP for each of the frequency-domain resources, performs PRS measurements on the PRS(s), and determines positioning measurements at least based on the PRS measurements and the determined reference TRPs.

  • Publication number: 20220004993
Abstract: An application updates a status of a project with a plurality of tasks, where each task has at least one deliverable. The project status is updated in real-time based on a deliverable status of at least one task deliverable. For each project task with at least one deliverable, a plurality of deliverable lifecycle states to be tracked are defined. Each tracked deliverable lifecycle state is mapped to a percentage completion of a project task. A weightage is assigned to each deliverable according to an importance of the deliverable. A changed lifecycle state is received for a deliverable, and the project task percentage completion status is automatically adjusted according to a product of the changed lifecycle state and the assigned weightage.

  • Patent number: 11202275
Abstract: A mobile device supports positioning with positioning reference signals (PRS) on multiple beam by dividing the PRS processing into two separate modes, an acquisition mode and a tracking mode. In acquisition mode, the mobile device performs a fast scan of all of the beams from a base station transmitting PRS using less than the full set of resources for the PRS, i.e., less than the full bandwidth and/or less than the full number of repetitions of the PRS. The mobile device may select the best beams to use for positioning, e.g., based on signal strength metric. In tracking mode, the mobile device tracks the PRS from only the selected beams using the full set of resources for the PRS. The mobile device may return to acquisition mode after a predetermined number of positioning occasions or if the selected beams are no longer valid due to movement or change in conditions.

  • Publication number: 20210349322
Abstract: Users exploiting near-to-eye (NR2I) displays for augmented reality and/or correction of low vision are typically wearing these NR2I displays for specific tasks or for extended periods of time, potentially all their time awake. Conflicting tradeoffs between user comfort and minimal fatigue and strain during use, ease of attachment, minimizing intrusiveness and aesthetics should be concurrently balanced with providing an optical vision system that provides the user with a wide field of view, high image resolution, and a large exit pupil for eye placement with sufficient eye clearance. Accordingly, embodiments of the invention provide NR2I displays meeting these conflicts whilst also addressing the inherent variations between user in respect of their head dimensions, head and eye geometry, as well as adapting the displayed content to reflect the user's task at-hand, visual defects or degradations, visual focus and intent upon various regions-of-interest within their field of view.
