Patent number: 9373915Abstract: A cable-circuit board assembly is disclosed for use in providing a high speed transmission line for connecting electronic devices together. The circuit board is joined to a ground extension member that extends rearwardly of the circuit board and between sets of wires that are terminated to respective surfaces of the circuit board. The extension portion places a ground plane in the termination area of the connector, rear of the trailing edge of the circuit board to provide shielding between pairs of wires on opposite sides of the paddle card where the cable shields are cut back.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2015Date of Patent: June 21, 2016Assignee: Molex, LLCInventors: Darian Ross Schulz, Mark Alan Bugg, Michael Rost, Munawar Ahmad

Patent number: 9011177Abstract: A cable bypass assembly is disclosed for use in providing a high speed transmission line for connecting a board mounted connector of an electronic device to a chip on the device board. The bypass cable assembly has a structure that permits it, where it is terminated to the board mounted connector and the chip member, or closely proximate thereto to replicate closely the geometry of the cable. The connector terminals are arranged in alignment with the cable signal conductors and shield extensions are provided so that shielding can be provided up to and over the termination between the cable signal conductors and the board connector terminal tails. Likewise, a similar termination structure is provided at the opposite end of the cable where a pair of terminals are supported by a second connector body and enclosed in a shield collar. The shield collar has an extension that engages the second end of the cable.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2011Date of Patent: April 21, 2015Assignee: Molex IncorporatedInventors: Brian Keith Lloyd, Christopher David Hirschy, Munawar Ahmad, Eran J. Publication number: 20140067693Abstract: A method for deploying a product through multiple phases includes defining work streams for deploying the product, where each work stream is defined for a set of components of a client environment. For each work stream and for each phase, a set of predefined tasks are identified for the phase, a computer processor gathers for the phase a set of instruments specific to the work stream for performing the set of predefined tasks, and the set of instruments are stored in a data repository of a deployment framework. The set of predefined tasks for the phase is common amongst the work streams.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2013Publication date: March 6, 2014Applicant: Schlumberger Technology CorporationInventors: Fausto Alvarez Hernandez, Stephen Ashley, Juan Carlos Gonzalez Bonilla, Giles Denby, Paul Galinski, Sebastien Geoltrain, Espen Osjord, Jonathan Scarf, Rosemarie Waiand, Stephen Warner, Stephane Emmanuel Paul Bonnassies, Munawar Ahmad Butt, Antoine Frichet, Armando Gomez, Bryan Johnston, Todd Olsen, Dany Rahal, Lawrence Wood, Yuhua Zhang

Publication number: 20040229510Abstract: A cable connector is provided that has a connector housing that is thin and takes the form of a wafer. Terminals are held within the housing and termination portions extend lengthwise from the terminals. The termination portions extend out from the housing for terminating bare conductors of signal wires to them. A grounding shield is provided that extends over the signal terminals from their contact portions at the front end of the connector to their rear termination portions. The grounding shield thereby provided a ground extent over the termination area that increases the electrical affinity of the signal wires to the grounding shield so as to reduce crosstalk and noise during operation at high frequencies. In one embodiment, the grounding shield includes a separate extension that is connected to the base grounding shield. In another embodiment, the grounding shield has a length sufficient to extend over the termination area.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2003Publication date: November 18, 2004Inventors: Brian Keith Lloyd, Richard A.
