  • Publication number: 20190109833
Abstract: A method of dynamic adaptive authentication includes receiving a request from a user to access a resource of a network and determining whether the resource is protected. In response to determining that the resource is protected, a dynamic authentication chain is generated. The dynamic authentication chain includes a plurality of authentication schemes that are arranged in a particular order. The method also includes challenging the user with the dynamic authentication chain and receiving a set of credentials from the user based at least in part on the particular order of the dynamic authentication chain. The method includes determining whether the set of credentials satisfies the dynamic authentication chain. • Publication number: 20190096268
Abstract: Methods are provided for determining time and fuel efficient airport terminal area procedures for an aircraft. First, a series of departure clusters are generated for a departure airport based on standard instrument departure (SID) procedures. The time and fuel characteristics of the departure clusters are categorized by departure time. Next, a series of destination clusters is generated for a destination airport based on approach procedures and standard terminal arrival (STAR) procedures. The time and fuel characteristics of the destination clusters are categorized by arrival time. The clusters are stored in an electronic database and during planning a flight plan of the aircraft. Once retrieved, terminal area procedures for the flight plan of the aircraft are selected based upon weighted values assigned to the time and fuel characteristics of the departure clusters for a departure airport and the destination clusters for a destination airport.

  • Publication number: 20190080617
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for classifying notice to airmen (NOTAM) alerts to a pilot of an aircraft. First, bundled NOTAMs are received during the flight planning process for the aircraft. A domain rules set for a filter engine on board the aircraft is created that prioritizes the bundled NOTAMs based on their criticality. The domain rules set is updated with weather data and day/night visibility analysis. The prioritized critical NOTAMs are stored on board in an electronic database and retrieved during the relevant phase of the flight path of the aircraft. The NOTAM messages are then displayed to the pilot on a graphical display device on board the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 10225131
Abstract: Techniques for determining target system connectivity between service domains are disclosed herein. For each of multiple service domains configured as a distributed management system, a discovery unit identifies subnets having at least one target system component within the service domain. The discovery unit determines from among the identified subnets, subnets that each extend between two or more of the service domains. For each of the subnets that extend between two or more of the service domains, the discovery unit detects target system network connections between two or more of the service domains. The discovery unit reports the detected target system network connections to one or more entities within the distributed management system.

  • Patent number: 10218343
Abstract: A circuit may include control circuitry configured to determine a duty cycle error for a sample clock signal. Based on the duty cycle error the control circuitry may determine a corrective direction by which to alter the duty cycle to correct the duty cycle error. The control circuitry may indicate the corrective direction to selection circuitry via a selection signal. Responsive to the selection signal, the selection circuitry may select a leading phase signal and a lagging phase signal from among a plurality of relative phase signals. Output circuitry may combine the leading phase signal and a lagging phase signal to generate an output clock signal with a duty cycle corresponding the corrective direction.

  • Patent number: 10042563
Abstract: In an all-flash storage array, write requests can take about 9 to 10 times longer than a read request of the same size. There could be several problems when reading or writing from all-flash storage, such as a large write request slowing down small read requests, or other write requests. Also, a large read request may slow down smaller read requests by filling the incoming requests queue. In one implementation, a determination is made on what is the maximum size of a request to flash storage that improves the throughput of a flash chip (e.g., write requests beyond a certain size do not improve throughput). A chunklet is defined as a block of data having the calculated maximum size. As write requests come in, the write requests are broken into chunklets, and then the chunklets are queued for processing by the flash chip. One chunklet is processed at a time per write request.
