  • Publication number: 20220022063
Abstract: A system and a method are provided for a network access point device for use with a network extender device and a display device. The network access point device is configured to initiate an onboarding process to onboard the network extender device, to generate data to enable the display device to display a connecting status image when the onboarding process has started, to periodically check the connection state of the network extender device, and to generate data to enable the display device to display a connected status image after the network access point has been successfully onboarded.

  • Publication number: 20220007175
Abstract: A Wi-Fi access point device (APD) includes a controller, a radio, and a memory. The memory contains instructions for establishing a programmed secure Wi-Fi onboarding SSID with the client device with connection to the external network. The controller is configured to instruct the radio to broadcast the open Wi-Fi onboarding SSID for a predetermined period of time. The controller is also configured to: instruct the radio to broadcast an established programmed secure Wi-Fi onboarding SSID; onboard the Wi-Fi APD to the external network, based on information communicated between the Wi-Fi client device and the Wi-Fi APD over the established programmed secure Wi-Fi onboarding SSID; and instruct the radio to stop the broadcast of the open Wi-Fi onboarding SSID at the earlier of a termination of the predetermined time period and the onboarding of the Wi-Fi APD to the external network.

  • Publication number: 20210216620
Abstract: A system, method, and computer-readable recording media for a user account secure with a single sign on (SSO) password hidden authentication. Receiving credential information (CI) and generating the SSO password through at least one client device (CD). Encrypting the SSO password. Storing the SSO password in the CD and an electronic device (ED). Transmit the SSO password and encrypted SSO password to a cloud services platform (CSP), where the CSP stores both. Storing the SSO password in a cloud server (CS). Accessing the user account, if SSO password is unavailable, through the CSP transmitting a one time passcode to a user email, the CD setting a temporary password transferred to the CSP. The CSP confirming a match and transmitting the encrypted SSO password to the CD, the CD decrypting the encrypted SSO password and resetting the temporary password to the SSO password.

  • Patent number: 10659721
Abstract: A method of processing a sequence of coded video frames conveyed by a digital data stream, where each frame represents an image, includes receiving the sequence of coded video frames at a recording device, determining a frame interval between presentation of an ith coded frame of the sequence and an (i+1)th coded frame of the sequence, calculating a stream time stamp for the ith coded frame, and calculating a stream time stamp for the (i+1)th coded video frame based on the stream time stamp for the ith coded video frame and the previously determined frame interval.

  • Patent number: 9215496
Abstract: A method and computing device for determining the location of a point of interest in a media stream. The method receives an order of duplication for a media stream and a sequence of caption data strings associated with the media stream. The method computes a hash value for a selected string in the sequence. The hash value representing the selected string, and a number of strings in the sequence that immediately precede the selected string, where the order of duplication determines the number of strings. The method receives a media stream time for the selected string based on the hash value, and determines a time at a point of interest in the media stream relative to the media stream time for the selected string.

  • Patent number: 8437619
Abstract: A method of modifying a digital data stream composed of a sequence of frames, where each frame represents an image and includes a data field specifying a presentation time stamp value for the frame. If there is a discontinuity in presentation time stamp value between a next frame and a first frame, a value representing a stream time stamp of interest is assigned to a variable for representing the value of the stream time stamp of interest at a point of discontinuity in presentation time stamp, and a value of the presentation time stamp is assigned to a variable for representing the first frame's clock time based on presentation time stamp, and the next frame is stored in a database using as an index the value representing a stream time stamp of interest.
