    Abstract: A light unit is configured in such a manner that a light guide is placed between a light source and a projection lens, and includes a first exit surface for emitting light for a low-beam light distribution pattern and a second exit surface for emitting light for an additional light distribution pattern that is added to form a high-beam light distribution pattern. The light guide is configured to be provided with a mirror surface portion on a connection surface extending toward the back of the unit from a lower edge of the first exit surface to an upper edge of the second exit surface. As a result, light from a light-emitting element that has been emitted through the second exit surface and reached the connection surface is reflected by the mirror surface portion to be used as the light for forming the additional light distribution pattern.
