Patent number: 11566695Abstract: A unit-type strain wave gearing device provided with a cross roller bearing that supports an internally toothed gear and an externally toothed gear in a state in which both gears can rotate relative to each other, and a meshing section of both gears is lubricated with grease. A gap by which the meshing section and the cross roller bearing raceway groove communicate is formed between the inner ring of the cross roller bearing and the external gear. Due to the pump effect caused by deflection of the external gear, grease is pushed from the meshing section to the gap. Some grease is returned to the inner space of the externally toothed gear via a grease-flowing hole that penetrates the diaphragm of the external gear. Thus, leakage of grease from an oil seal of the cross roller bearing to the unit side can be controlled.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 2018Date of Patent: January 31, 2023Assignee: HARMONIC DRIVE SYSTEMS INC.Inventor: Naoki Kanayama

Publication number: 20220364635Abstract: This unit-type strain wave gearing is provided with a cross-roller bearing that supports an internally toothed gear and an externally toothed gear in a relatively rotatable manner, wherein a meshing portion between the two gears is lubricated by a grease. In the outer circumference of the externally toothed gear, a gap is formed which communicates with the meshing portion and a raceway groove of the cross-roller bearing. A portion of the grease pressed out from the meshing portion to the gap flows out through a through-hole formed in the internally toothed gear, and flows back to the meshing portion. The grease can be suppressed from leaking to the outside of the unit from an oil seal of the cross-roller bearing.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 22, 2019Publication date: November 17, 2022Applicant: HARMONIC DRIVE SYSTEMS INC.Inventor: Naoki KANAYAMA

Patent number: 10989292Abstract: A wave generator of a wave gear device flexes an externally toothed gear into a shape along an elliptical closed curve to form engaging portions of the externally toothed gear with an internally toothed gear at two places, namely at both ends of the major axis, and to move the engaging portions in the circumferential direction. The elliptical closed curve has a non-point symmetric shape. For example, the elliptical closed curve is a line symmetric closed curve that is not symmetric about the minor axis, and is symmetric about only the major axis. In the non-point symmetric state, the engaging portions are formed at both ends in the major axis direction. By selecting different shapes for the engaging portions at the two locations of the major axis, vibration attributed to a secondary angular transmission error component generated along with the rotation of the wave generator can be reduced.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2017Date of Patent: April 27, 2021Assignee: HARMONIC DRIVE SYSTEMS INC.Inventor: Naoki Kanayama

Patent number: 10865866Abstract: A strain wave gearing has a wave generator for generating a wave motion that repeatedly flexes each part in the circumferential direction of an externally toothed gear in the radial direction. The wave generator is provided with a plurality of wave-generating members arranged at positions at a prescribed angular interval along the circumferential direction of the externally toothed gear. Each of the wave-generating members is provided with an outer circumferential cam surface, rotates centered on a rotation center line that is parallel to the device center axis line, and repeatedly flexes each part of the externally toothed gear in the radial direction with a prescribed amplitude. A strain wave gearing, which is suitable for forming a large device hollow part, can be obtained.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 2016Date of Patent: December 15, 2020Assignee: HARMONIC DRIVE SYSTEMS INC.Inventor: Naoki Kanayama

Patent number: 10753450Abstract: A magnetic type rotation transmitting mechanism has a rotating plate made of a magnetic material, and a magnet to which the rotational movement of the rotating plate is transmitted through a magnetic coupling between the magnet and the rotating plate. When the rotating plate is rotated, a plurality of oblique edge portions formed on the outer peripheral edge of the rotating plate rotate while sequentially passing through a magnet-facing area. The oblique edge portions move in the direction of the rotation centerline of the rotating plate, the rotation centerline being perpendicular to the center axis line of the magnet. The magnet is rotated about the center axis line by a magnetic force occurring between the magnet and the oblique edge portions passing through the magnet-facing area. It is possible to realize a small and compact mechanism for extracting rotation.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2016Date of Patent: August 25, 2020Assignee: HARMONIC DRIVE SYSTEMS INC.Inventors: Naoki Kanayama, Toru Takeda

Publication number: 20130071881Abstract: An objective of the present invention is to provide methods for introducing DNAs encoding a desired amino acid sequence into a region comprising a DNA encoding an antibody variable region of antibody-producing cells. The present inventors developed methods for efficiently introducing DNAs encoding a desired amino acid sequence into the antibody variable region gene locus of DT40-SW, which is a mutant line of the DT40 chicken B cell line which has the ability to spontaneously introduce mutations. This allows mutagenesis of introduced DNAs to modify the polypeptides to have superior functions. In particular, the present inventors revealed the nucleotide sequence of the antibody H chain variable region gene locus of the DT40 cell line. Based on this finding, the present inventors successfully constructed targeting vectors that allow efficient substitution of the antibody H chain variable region gene locus of the DT40 cell line with a gene encoding a desired polypeptide.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 18, 2010Publication date: March 21, 2013Applicant: Immuno Tec Laboratory Co. Patent number: 8384260Abstract: A geared motor assembly has a rotation-transmitting shaft for transferring output rotation of a reducer on the front side of a motor to an output shaft sensor on the rear side of the motor. A front end portion of the rotation-transmitting shaft is securely bonded to a rotation output member of the reducer by an adhesive that exhibits flexibility or elasticity after hardening, and a rear end portion of the rotation-transmitting shaft is rotatably supported by a sensor cover via a bearing in a position adjacent to the output shaft sensor. The rotation-transmitting shaft can be supported in a state free of axial runout by deformation of the adhesive and by the bearing. Consequently, the rotation angle position of the rotation output member can be detected with precision by the output shaft sensor in a position adjacent to the bearing.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2009Date of Patent: February 26, 2013Assignee: Harmonic Drive Systems Inc.Inventor: Naoki Kanayama
