  • Publication number: 20100114413
Abstract: An input/output control unit (96) receives two temperature values (T1 and T2) from first and second temperature sensors (13 and 14), respectively, and calculates a temperature difference (?T) that is an absolute value of a difference between the two temperature values (T1 and T2). The input/output control unit (96) stores a map determining a relationship between temperature values and target values of input powers (or output powers) of the first and second batteries (11 and 12) required for keeping the temperature difference (?T). Based on this map and the two temperature values (T1 and T2) received from the first and second temperature sensors, respectively, the input/output control unit (96) determines the target values of the respective input powers (output powers) of the first and second batteries (11 and 12).

  • Patent number: 7706962
Abstract: A fuel delivery device 11 has a delivery pipe 18, which supplies fuel to a fuel injection valve 21 of an internal combustion engine 10. An electromagnetic relief valve 22 releases the fuel from the delivery pipe 18 in response to an opening instruction and lowers the pressure of the fuel in the delivery pipe 18. A diagnosis device for the relief valve 22 has an electronic control unit 27 outputting the opening instruction to the relief valve 22 in response to a stopping instruction for stopping the engine 10. The unit 27 determines whether the relief valve 22 has a defect based on a manner in which the pressure of the fuel in the delivery pipe 18 changes after output of the stopping instruction. As a result, it is appropriately diagnosed whether the electromagnetic relief valve 22 has a defect.

  • Publication number: 20100045450
Abstract: A communication unit (32) periodically transmits a request signal toward a prescribed range. When a transmitter (30) exists in the range where the request signal can be received, it sends identification information in a responsive manner. A comparison ECU (48) compares the identification information provided from the communication unit (32) with a predetermined value, and if both of them match with each other, notifies a matching notification to a power source management ECU (44). On receipt of the matching notification from the comparison ECU (48), the power source management ECU (44) notifies a lighting-up request for providing an instruction for lighting-up of a light-emitting unit (202) to a body ECU (46). Upon receipt of the lighting-up request, the body ECU (46) activates a lighting-up command LON. As a result, the light-emitting unit (202) is lit up and notifies a user of the position of a charging port.

  • Publication number: 20100026238
Abstract: Light applied from an illumination unit (212) illuminates a space formed of an accommodation unit (208), and facilitates a user's operation of coupling a charging connector to an electric power-receiving unit (210). When a lid unit (204) is in a closed state, a part of the light applied from the illumination unit (212) toward the accommodation unit (208) transmits through a light transmission member (202) provided at the lid unit (204) and leaks toward a space outside a vehicle body (300). The leaked light enables a user to visually perceive the position of the charging port (200) at a glance even if the lid unit (204) is in the closed state.

  • Publication number: 20090274494
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an oil input device and a fixing device including a fixing member, a pressing member, and an oil applier. In the oil applier, an oil application member applies oil supplied from an oil supply mechanism to one of the fixing member and the pressing member. In the oil supply mechanism, an oil supply member provided adjacent to an oil storage member supplies oil sent from the oil storage member to the oil application member. When the fixing device is reattached to the image forming apparatus after the fixing device is detached from the image forming apparatus, oil sent from the oil input device through an oil inlet overflows the oil storage member, and is supplied to one of the oil supply member and the oil application member provided adjacent to the oil storage member before an image forming operation starts.

  • Patent number: 7565939
Abstract: In a hybrid vehicle of the invention, the control procedure corrects an idling intake air flow Qidl to enable an engine immediately after its start to generate an output power Pe that is substantially equivalent to an engine power demand Pe*. After the correction, the control procedure controls the engine to have an intake air flow Qe with reflection of an intake air flow correction value Qec and controls a motor MG1 to generate electric power by using the output power Pe of the engine and to charge a battery with the generated electric power within an input limit Win of the battery. The control of the invention ensures that the output power Pe of the engine does not exceed the engine power demand Pe* in restriction of the charge level of the battery. This arrangement effectively prevents the state of charge SOC of the battery, which is charged with the electric power generated by the motor MG1, from exceeding the input limit Win.
