  • Patent number: 6386898
Abstract: A connector fitting construction in which a half-fitted condition is positively prevented when fitting a pair of female and male connectors together, and a connector-inserting force, required for the fitting operation, can be reduced. In this connector fitting construction, one of the two connectors has a slider receiving portion (4), formed by an exclusive-use housing (3b), and has a lock arm (6) on which a lock beak (7), having a slanting surface, is formed. A slider (10) has a pair of abutment projections (14) formed on a lower surface of a slider body (11), and a slide groove (13). The abutment projections (14) can be received respectively in side spaces (4a) provided respectively at opposite sides of the lock arm (6) within the slider receiving portion (4). The lock beak (7) can be fitted in the slide groove (13).

  • Patent number: 5611702
Abstract: A female connector and a male connector engageable with each other are paired. Fixing shafts are projected from both lateral sides of the male connector. The female connector has a retaining lever being pivotable about pivots arranged on both lateral sides thereof. Rail portions are arranged on a front surface of the lever, each rail portion having a predetermined surface of curvature. When the male connector is inserted into the female connector, shaft portions of the fixing shafts are abutted against the rail portions and bias the rail portions, so that the surfaces of curvature produce resisting forces, each having a component for pivoting they lever.

  • Patent number: 5611703
Abstract: A lever-type connector in which the need for a resilient member is obviated, thereby saving cost, and including engagement portions are less liable to damage or to deterioration due to aging when a large impact force is accidentally applied, this impact force can be effectively relieved, thereby preventing damage to the engagement portions. The lever-type connector includes a pair of female and male connectors. Engagement shafts are formed on the male connector, and a retaining lever, having fitting grooves, is mounted on the female connector for pivotal movement about support shafts. When the retaining lever is pivotally moved, the engagement shafts are forcibly moved through the fitting grooves, thereby fitting the male connector into the female connector.

  • Patent number: 5562465
Abstract: To provide a lever-type connector which is low in cost, and facilitates an operation of confirming an incompletely-fitted condition of the connector. Fixed shafts are formed on a male connector to be fitted in a female connector, and a retaining lever is mounted on the female connector for pivotal movement about pivot shafts formed respectively on opposite sides thereof, and spring engagement protections are formed respectively on the opposite sides of the female connector. Retaining grooves each having a play region are formed in a front portion of the retaining lever, and leaf springs are provided at a rear side of the retaining lever. When the retaining lever is pivotally moved, with the fixed shafts received respectively in the retaining grooves, the leaf springs respectively engage the spring engagement projections to be resiliently deformed, so that the fixed shafts are moved toward the play regions, respectively, and as a result the retaining lever is inclined in a conspicuous manner.
