  • Publication number: 20160180178
Abstract: In a vehicle-mounted image recognition apparatus, a resolution of an image projected on an imaging plane of an image sensor is different at a position away from a center between a circumferential direction and a radial direction. To make a circumferential resolution higher than a radial resolution, at least a lower half of the imaging plane is located closer to a circumferential focus than a middle of a radial focus and the circumferential focus at a position off the optical axis center of the image projected on the image sensor through the image-forming optical system. This is achieved by adjusting the position of the imaging plane when manufacturing or by selecting a lens with high circumferential resolution. This apparatus improves recognition accuracy in recognizing traffic lanes without using an expensive lens exhibiting high resolution both in the circumferential direction and in the radial direction.

  • Publication number: 20160091602
Abstract: A monitoring apparatus includes an image-forming optical system aimed forward, an image sensor, an antenna, a first circuit board, a waveguide, an upper case, an information-processing circuit, a second circuit board, a connector, and a power-supply circuit. The connector is disposed at a rear side relative to the image-forming optical system. The power-supply circuit includes at least one capacitor, and a capacitor that is positioned at a highest location out of all of the at least one capacitor is disposed at a rear side relative to the image-forming optical system, which prevents the capacitor from obstructing the visual field of the image-forming optical system. Thus, the image-forming optical system is able to be located close to the power-supply circuit because the monitoring apparatus is very small in height.

  • Publication number: 20160028929
Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes an image-forming optical system assembly, an image sensor, a sensor retaining portion that retains the image sensor, a coupling portion that is fixed to the image-forming optical system assembly, and a movement suppressing member that is immovable with respect to the coupling portion. The image-forming optical system assembly includes an optical system-side adhesive surface, the coupling portion includes an opposite surface, and the sensor retaining portion includes a sensor-side adhesive surface. A first adhesive is filled in at least a portion of a gap between the optical system-side adhesive surface and the sensor-side adhesive surface, and comes into contact with both of the optical system-side adhesive surface and the sensor-side adhesive surface. The movement suppressing member contacts the opposite surface, and contacts the sensor retaining portion on a surface facing the rear side out of surfaces of the sensor retaining portion.

  • Publication number: 20150264230
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a vehicle-mounted camera housing including a cover housing, a camera main body and a circuit board includes providing a set of partial molds which are combined to form an internal cavity. When the combined partial molds are separated, an intermediate member is taken out and machined to obtain the cover housing. A top plate portion of the cover housing includes a pedestal extending downward. The machining includes cutting a distal end of the pedestal such that a flat face of the pedestal faces a predetermined direction with reference to an inclination angle of a windshield of a target vehicle, a relative direction of an optical axis of the camera, relative directions of the pedestal flat face and an upper surface of the top plate portion, and relative directions of the top plate and the windshield surface.

  • Patent number: 8338643
Abstract: The present invention provides a reagent for introducing a protein or gene into a cell. The reagent of the present invention is, for example, a reagent for introducing a protein or gene into a cell, which comprises a composition comprising a cationic amino acid type lipid represented by the following formula (I)-1: (wherein in formula (I)-1: L is a single bond, —CONH—, or —S—S—; M1 is —(CH2)k— or —(CH2CH2O)k— (wherein k is an integer between 0 and 14); and m1 and m2 are each independently an integer between 11 and 21 (in this regard, when providing a reagent for introducing a gene into a cell, the case where both m1 and m2 are 15 is excluded)).
