The UE triggers RRC message segmentation upon detecting Z is greater than L. In one novel aspect, the size limitation L is either predefined or obtained through network notification or UE inquiry.

In some embodiments, motion sensor information generated by motion sensors on a UE is used to detect, predict, and/or recover from a beam failure event that results, or would otherwise result, from movement of the UE. The motion sensor information may be used to adjust a current beam direction used by the UE to transmit or receive a signal, or to determine a recommendation for adjusting a current beam direction of the base station. The motion sensor information may be generated by any sensor that detects a movement of the UE, such as a gyroscope, an accelerometer, a magnetometer, a global positioning system (GPS) sensor, a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) sensor, or any other device that detects a change in position/orientation of the UE.

A mitigating factor score, indicative of a mitigation applied to the vulnerability by an enterprise organization, may be determined. A risk score may be generated for each vulnerability, as a composite of the updated temporal score and the mitigating factor score. The risk scores for vulnerabilities in a collection of vulnerabilities may be aggregated to determine an enterprise risk score for the enterprise organization. In some instances, the enterprise risk score may be displayed via a graphical user interface.

    Abstract: Fiber-reinforced polymer composites possessing improved damping ability are provided. In one aspect, the fibers provide the composite with a relatively high dynamic modulus over a broad range of frequencies for a given temperature. In another aspect, the polymer may comprise a viscoelastic polymer possessing a relatively high loss factor for a given frequency and temperature. The polymer may be further tailored to control the center frequency at which the maximum loss factor of the polymer is achieved. The composite so formed exhibits a relatively small reduction in loss factor with significant increase in dynamic modulus over a broad range of frequencies for a given temperature. As a result, a structure damped by the composite exhibits a relatively high, constant loss factor as compared to conventional damping materials. Thus, embodiments of the disclosed composites dissipate significantly more energy during each vibration cycle than conventional damping materials.
