  • Patent number: 11592309
Abstract: Methods and systems for distributed detection of road conditions and damage are described. In one embodiment, a method for distributed detection of road conditions and damage is provided. The method includes receiving, from one or more mobile devices, a plurality of reports of anomalies associated with roads in a geographic area. The method also includes storing the received reports of anomalies in a database and comparing each report of an anomaly to stored reports of previous anomalies in the database. The method further includes determining whether each report of an anomaly indicates road damage or a temporary problem. The method includes generating a prioritized list of locations of anomalies associated with one or more roads that have been determined to have road damage that needs maintenance and/or repair.

  • Patent number: 11580796
Abstract: A system and a method for diagnosing a problem with a motor vehicle using sound. Ambient noise information for the motor vehicle is determined. Current sound information is received, and whether there is a variation in sound between the current sound information and the ambient noise information is determined. The ambient noise information is subtracted from the current sound information if the variation has been identified, to identify a sound anomaly. A sound anomaly signal is extracted and compared with predetermined anomaly signal information stored in a database. The predetermined anomaly signal information is associated with diagnostic information.

  • Patent number: 11531952
Abstract: Described herein are methods and systems for anonymizing and securing digital transactions. These methods and systems describe a server that monitors web applications executing on a user device. Responsive to the web application displaying an input element requesting personally identifiable information of a user, the server inputs encoded user data corresponding to the input element, whereby a web application server hosting the web application does not receive the personally identifiable information of the user. The server then generate an optical code representing the personally identifiable information. Responsive to receiving a request for the personally identifiable information from a shipping entity computing device that scanned the optical code, the server first verifies the shipping entity computing device and then presents the personally identifiable information for display on the shipping entity computing device.

  • Patent number: 11527220
Abstract: A method and system of providing a wearable expanded display system for portable computing devices is disclosed. The method includes connecting a head-mounted display system to the portable computing device and anchoring a virtual projection of content from the portable computing device to a screen of the portable computing device to provide the user with an augmented reality viewing experience. The virtual projection can present the content in an enlarged view with richer content options than the smaller screen of the portable computing device. The position of the virtual projection will adapt to changes in pose of the screen to maintain the anchored relationship.

  • Patent number: 11439044
Abstract: A system to create a dehydrating environment from the waste cooling air from a data center including a drying room above the data center. Waste cooling air dries moisture laden product in the drying room and is returned to the data center. Also, a system to distribute waste cooling air from a data center. The system includes a reservoir tank and a local tank for waste cooling air. Both tanks include insulated walls that assist in maintaining a temperature within the reservoir tank. A reservoir tank blower conveys waste cooling air from the data center into the reservoir tank and pressurizes the interior of the reservoir tank. Pressurized waste cooling air from the data center is delivered from the local tank through the blower when a blower valve is opened.

  • Patent number: 11417205
Abstract: Methods and systems for a graduated process of increasing bandwidth and increasing complexity to identify and confirm a location of a target vehicle based on information received from motor vehicles are described. In one embodiment, a method for detection of a target vehicle includes requesting, from one or more remote devices in a geographic area, information associated with a target vehicle. The method also includes receiving, from the one or more remote devices, information associated with the target vehicle. The method further includes determining whether the received information associated with the target vehicle matches the requested information. Upon determining that the received information matches the requested information, the method includes increasing at least one of a bandwidth or a complexity level of the requested information associated with the target vehicle and decreasing the geographic area associated with the request.

  • Patent number: 11366702
Abstract: A method for dynamically allocating computing resources to virtual computing machines in a shared system. An initial allocation is made for each computing resource. Current demand for each computing resource for each of the virtual computing machines is determined to identify changes in current demand. The system identifies a virtual computing machine for which usage of a first computing resource is approaching a first predetermined threshold allotted to the first virtual computing machine. The system identifies a second virtual computing machine in the system for which usage of the first computing resource is less than a second predetermined threshold of the first computing resource allotted to the second virtual computing machine. The server dynamically allocates at least part of the first computing resource from the second virtual computing machine to the first virtual computing machine to meet current demand for the first computing resource in the first virtual computing machine.

  • Patent number: 11296510
Abstract: A system for controlling power in a facility having an electrical system including an energy storage device and a generator and an associated fuel tank. The fuel tank provides fuel to the generator and has a gauge indicating remaining fuel. Both the energy storage device and the generator operate. The generator may be used to provide power to the facility, the energy storage device, or both simultaneously. A first power consuming device imposes a first load connected to the electrical system and second power consuming device imposes a second load connected to the electrical system. The system receives information related to the loads and calculates an initial estimated run time of the energy storage device, and information related to the first load and information related to the second load. The system selectively removes the second load in a simulation and calculates a second run time of the energy storage device.

  • Patent number: 11180159
Abstract: A method and system of intelligently alerting and/or routing vehicles to improve driving safety is disclosed. The method includes sharing data collected by vehicles in different locations to determine whether the presence of dynamically moving objects such as animals and pedestrians will affect traffic conditions for other vehicles on the nearby roadways. If the system determines there is a likelihood of such objects being obstacles to other vehicles, an alert can be automatically presented to the drivers of the impacted vehicles. The method further includes generating routes for the driver that avoid, or limit, the driver's exposure to the obstacle.
