Publication number: 20140365987Abstract: An input/output circuit layout has a first section in which first transistors having a thicker gate oxide are located and a second section in which second transistors having a thinner gate oxide are located. Due to process technology constraints, the gates of all of the second transistors are oriented in a single common direction. The second section has a perimeter having a square shape including a first edge and a second edge adjacent to the first edge. First connection pins coupled to the second transistors are provided with an orientation that extends inwardly from and perpendicular to the first edge. Second connection pins coupled to the second transistors are provided with an orientation that extends inwardly from and perpendicular to said second edge. The square shape and presence of pins on adjacent first and second edges permits rotation of the second section to fit within different orientations of the layout.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 6, 2013Publication date: December 11, 2014Inventors: Manoj Kumar, Jean Guillorit, Navin Kumar Dayani

Patent number: 8454952Abstract: Stretch-induced increased hemodynamic load adversely affects endothelial cell function and is an important contributor to thromboembolus formation in heart failure, valvular heart disease, atrial fibrillation, venous insufficiency, and pulmonary hypertension, and in thrombus occluded vein grafts. Local thrombus formation and thromboenbolic events can be reduced by inhibiting the TGF-beta signaling pathway or TGF-beta per se. Inhibitors can be administered to patients or veins (prior to interposition) at risk for thromboembolic events or local thrombus formation. Inhibitors can be applied to harvested veins to be used as arterial grafts.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2007Date of Patent: June 4, 2013Assignee: The Johns Hopkins UniversityInventors: Jeffrey James Rade, Navin Kumar Kapur

Publication number: 20130111382Abstract: Embodiments are directed to providing support for customized element layouts in a user interface. In one scenario, a computer system provides a user interface (UI) for a software application. The user interface includes multiple different UI elements arranged according to a custom layout. The computer system receives a user input that indicates various user interaction characteristics that are to be customized for the UI by a custom layout panel. The custom layout panel selects a characteristic modification interface based on which user interaction characteristics are to be customized, and implements the selected interface to customize the indicated interaction characteristics.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 2, 2011Publication date: May 2, 2013Applicant: MICROSOFT CORPORATIONInventors: Ted G. Publication number: 20110238620Abstract: To facilitate data transfer between two databases, a transfer machine accesses both databases and finds matching records. The transfer machine determines and stores a match status of a record in one database. The match status indicates whether the record corresponds to at least one of the records in the other database, and if so, which record or records in the other database correspond to the record. If the match status indicates that the record matches a record in the other database, the transfer machine determines which record is current and updates the other record. If the match status indicates that a record has no match in the other database, the transfer machine adds a copy of the record to the other database.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 26, 2010Publication date: September 29, 2011Applicant: Jigsaw Data CorporationInventors: Navin Kumar Ramineni, Pawan Nachnani, Rajan Madhavan

Patent number: 8004345Abstract: A system and method for minimizing non-linearity errors induced in output drive voltage of a transmitter circuit due to on-chip process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) variations. The system including an oscillator for converting an input reference bias voltage into a clock output signal, where the input reference bias voltage varies in response to PVT variations. Also included is a counter for counting the clock output signal and generating a count value corresponding to the clock output of the oscillator. A comparison module operatively coupled to the counter compares the count value with a pre-simulated count value to generate an error signal. Based on the error signal generated by the comparison module, a correction logic adjusts an output drive signal of the transmitter circuit making it immune to PVT variations.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2009Date of Patent: August 23, 2011Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Navin Kumar Ramamoorthy, Umesh K Shukla, K. Patent number: 7131119Abstract: A code optimizing procedure involves isolating code from a loop construct, executed a predetermined number of times, and optimizing the code for execution conditions which cause the loop to be executed that number of times. This code is compared against corresponding code which has not be optimized, and it is determined whether the inclusion of this code is favorable. If the benefits of including this code are judged to be significant, the code is modified by inclusion of this optimized code, which is conditionally executed when the loop is encountered.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2001Date of Patent: October 31, 2006Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventor: Sinha Navin Kumar

Patent number: 7058561Abstract: A method, system and program product for optimizing software in which procedure clones are created based on the control flow information for the procedure body. In an example, a control flow graph for a called procedure is constructed and, for a branching node which can direct program flow to two or more code branches of the procedure, respective clones or new procedures are formed one for each code branch. A list containing pointers to the clones and the respective branch conditions for those clones is formed. Then, for each call site, the list is scanned to see if a particular call could be replaced by a call to a clone. Meanwhile, each clone is optimized and this may lead to removal of dead code or the replacement of a particular call statement by a constant.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2000Date of Patent: June 6, 2006Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventor: Sinha Navin Kumar
