  • Publication number: 20240154658
Abstract: An apparatus for use in an O-RAN base station includes processing circuitry. To configure the O-RAN base station for signal processing in an O-RAN network, the processing circuitry is to decode an SRS and a DMRS in a UL stream received from at least one UE. Channel estimation is performed based on the SRS to obtain a channel estimate matrix of channel estimates associated with reception of the UL stream. A noise covariance is generated using the DMRS. Beamforming weights are determined using the channel estimate matrix and the noise covariance. Beamforming is performed on UL data corresponding to the UL stream to generate beamformed data streams. The beamforming is based on applying the beamforming weights to the UL data.

  • Patent number: 11971448
Abstract: A scan chain architecture with lowered power consumption comprises a multiplexer selecting between a functional input and a test input. The output of the multiplexer is coupled to a low threshold voltage latch and, in test mode, to a standard threshold voltage latch. The low threshold voltage latch and standard threshold voltage latch are configured to store data when a clock input falls, using a master latch functional clock M_F_CLK, master latch test clock M_T_CLK, slave latch functional clock S_F_CLK, and slave latch test clock S_T_CLK. The slave latch has lower power consumption than the master latch.

  • Publication number: 20240134751
Abstract: A network device may execute a master application shared with another network device via a session, and may receive, by a backup application replication kernel, a replicated data object. The backup application replication kernel may provide the replicated data object to a backup application, and may calculate a time delta between when the replicated data object is received and when the replicated data object is consumed by the backup application. The backup application replication kernel may determine whether the time delta exceeds a first threshold or a second threshold, and may generate a session flag based on the time delta exceeding the first threshold or the second threshold. The backup application replication kernel may provide the session flag to a master application replication kernel and to the backup application, and the master application replication kernel may provide details of the session to the master application and the backup application.

  • Publication number: 20240111531
Abstract: Methods for frequency scaling for per-core accelerator assignments and associated apparatus. A processor includes a CPU (central processing unit) having multiple cores that can be selectively configured to support frequency scaling and instruction extensions. Under this approach, some cores can be configured to support a selective set of AVX instructions (such as AVX3/5G-ISA instructions) and/or AMX instructions, while other cores are configured to not support these AVX/AMX instructions. In one aspect, the selective AVX/AMX instructions are implemented in one or more ISA extension units that are separate from the main processor core (or otherwise comprises a separate block of circuitry in a processor core) that can be selectively enabled or disabled. This enables cores having the separate unit(s) disabled to consume less power and/or operate at higher frequencies, while supporting the selective AVX/AMX instructions using other cores.

  • Patent number: 11935587
Abstract: A static random access memory (SRAM) has one or more arrays of memory cells, each array of memory cells activated in columns by a wordline. The activated column of memory cells asserts output data onto a plurality of bitlines coupled to output drivers. The SRAM includes a wordline controller generating a variable wordline signal pulse width which may be reduced sufficiently to introduce memory read errors. Each of a high error rate, medium error rate, low error rate, and a nearly error-free rate is associated with a pulse width value generated by the wordline controller. A power consumption tradeoff exists between the wordline signal pulse width and consumed SRAM power. The wordline controller is thereby able to associate a wordline signal pulse width with an associated error rate for performing tasks which are insensitive to a high error rate or a medium error rate, which are specific to certain neural network training and inference using various NN data types.

  • Publication number: 20240079005
Abstract: Configurable core domains of a speech processing system are described. A core domain output data format for a given command is originally configured with default content portions. When a user indicates additional content should be output for the command, the speech processing system creates a new output data format for the core domain. The new output data format is user specific and includes both default content portions as well as user preferred content portions.

  • Publication number: 20240056159
Abstract: This disclosure relates to apparatuses, systems, and methods for scheduling user equipment (UE) transmissions, and in particular for scheduling UE transmissions in a 5G New Radio system with a split architecture. The scheduler selects a beamforming algorithm for a UE group that includes a first UE and a second UE, where the beamforming algorithm is based on characteristics of the beamforming algorithm and/or the UE group. The scheduler determines an effective SINR for the UE group based on the beamforming algorithm and determines a summed proportion fair metric for the UE group based on the effective SINR for the UE group. The scheduler schedules a transmission for either the first UE or the UE group, based on a proportional fair metric for the first UE and the summed proportional fair metric for the UE group.

  • Patent number: 11902404
Abstract: A network device may monitor a TCP session with another network device, and may identify ingress and/or egress packets, a TCP header, and a socket of the TCP session. The network device may inspect the ingress and/or egress packets, the TCP header, and the socket to identify a zero window advertisement, details of a last quantity of packets sent or received, synchronize, finish, or reset packets sent or received, negotiated TCP options, or buffer space utilization, and may temporarily record identified data based on the inspection. The network device may detect a TCP session flap when a finish packet or a reset packet is identified and recorded, and may store, in a dead TCP session list, the identified data based on the TCP session flap being detected.

  • Patent number: 11860830
Abstract: Columns of a table are stored in either row-major format or column-major format in an in-memory DBMS. For a given table, one set of columns is stored in column-major format; another set of columns for a table are stored in row-major format. This way of storing columns of a table is referred to herein as dual-major format. In addition, a row in a dual-major table is updated “in-place”, that is, updates are made directly to column-major columns without creating an interim row-major form of the column-major columns of the row. Users may submit database definition language (“DDL”) commands that declare the row-major columns and column-major columns of a table.
