  • Publication number: 20140076352
Abstract: The present invention relates to a tool (1) for separating a hair bundle (11) comprising a number of hair strands appropriate for receiving a hair treatment composition (15) for creating a hair bundle effect. The hair bundle (11) is received into a through hole (10) via a slit (50). The dimensions of the through hole (10) dictate the appropriate size of a hair bundle (11). In one aspect of the present invention, the tool (1) is substantially flat in order to prevent spillages of hair treatment composition (15) onto the scalp. A gripping layer (70) may extend upon at least a portion of the tool (1) for aiding the grip of the tool (1) to the hair bundle (11).

Abstract: A computer program product for process allocation is configured to determine a set of two or more processes of a plurality of processes that share at least one resource in a multi-node system, wherein each of the set of two or more processes is running on different nodes of the multi-node system. The program code can be configured to calculate a value based on a weight of the resource and frequency of access of the resource by each process. The program code can be configured to determine a pair of processes of the set of processes having a greatest sum of calculated values by resource. The program code can be configured to allocate a first process of the pair of processes from a first node in the multi-node system to a second node in the multi-node system that hosts a second process of the pair of processes.

  • Publication number: 20140037857
Abstract: A method for applying a fixed image onto at least one surface of a component in an electrochemical device is described. The component is usually formed of an alumina material. An image-forming material is first applied onto the component surface in its green state. The mark or image is applied in a desired pattern by an additive process, such as direct-write or screen-printing. The component is then heated at a sintering temperature sufficient to ensure conversion from the green state into a fired ceramic state. The sintering temperatures are also sufficient to fix the image upon the surface of the component. The image can be read by the human eye, or by various machine-readable techniques. Related methods for monitoring the location and status of a ceramic electrochemical cell component during its manufacture and during other processing steps are also described.

  • Patent number: 8636039
Abstract: A fluid dispensing system including a parent dispenser and a child dispenser, wherein the parent dispenser has a parent body with a parent reservoir containing fluid, a first magnetic coupling member, a passage, a parent pump mechanism and a parent actuator. The parent actuator has an outlet, a second magnetic coupling member, and actuator inlet tube. The actuator inlet tube is removably received within the passage. The first and second magnetic coupling members cooperate to removably couple the parent actuator and the parent body. The child dispenser has a child body with a child reservoir, a child pump mechanism, and a child inlet tube. The child inlet tube is removably received within the passage when the child dispenser is coupled to the parent body. When the child dispenser is coupled to the parent body, the parent pump is actuated to transfer fluid from the parent to the child reservoir.

  • Patent number: 8622260
Abstract: A flow control device for dispensing a multi-phase oral composition. The device includes a housing, a restrictor and an insert that fits within and cooperates with the housing and restrictor to dispense the oral composition. A flowpath is formed in and around the insert, as well as in the housing such that the composition passes through one or more channels defined by the cooperative arrangement of the insert and housing. Changes in relative position between the insert and the housing facilitate selective alignment of the various channels with a discharge orifice formed in the housing such that a user can vary the way the proportions of discreet fluids making up the oral composition are dispensed through said orifice.
