  • Publication number: 20250112058
Abstract: A method for decapsulating packaged integrated circuit is provided for the detection of counterfeit integrated circuit. The present invention pertains particularly to methods for application of heat for the decapsulation. The best way to ensure devices under test is not a counterfeit is to match the golden sample's die topography with that of the device under test. It is extremely difficult to replicate the unique topography and logo markings on the die. For an application like a failure analysis, it requires more expensive and involved steps to preserve the functionality of the die after the decapsulation. The decapsulation method for the detection of counterfeit only requires the preservation of markings of the die. The present invention provides for an efficient and economical decapsulation method for the detection of counterfeit utilizing new and novel techniques involving precise temperature control and related steps.

  • Patent number: 12265980
Abstract: An online system receives information describing an order placed by a user of the online system and a set of contextual features associated with servicing the order. The online system also retrieves a set of user features associated with the user. The online system accesses a machine learning model trained to predict a tip amount the user is likely to provide for servicing the order and applies the machine learning model to a set of inputs, in which the set of inputs includes the information describing the order, the set of user features, and the set of contextual features. The online system then determines a suggested tip amount for servicing the order based on the predicted tip amount.

  • Patent number: 12267791
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be capable of operating according to a first transmission efficiency operating mode and a second transmission efficiency operating mode that is less power efficient than the first transmission efficiency operating mode. The first transmission efficiency operating mode may be associated with a first undesired emission level that is greater than a second undesired emission level associated with the second transmission efficiency operating mode. The UE may select to operate in one of the two transmission efficiency operating modes based on one or more communication parameters (e.g., indicated by control signaling received from a base station). For example, the UE may select to operate in the first transmission efficiency operating mode based on determining that one or more of the communication parameters satisfies at least one parameter criterion for operating in the first transmission efficiency operating mode.

  • Patent number: 12265853
Abstract: Arranging computational sub-tasks in a hybrid-computing environment is provided. The method comprises receiving input of a number of nodes, wherein each node represents a computational sub-task, and wherein the nodes are grouped into different sets according to differing computing resources used by the nodes. A computational objective is also received as well as initial data inputs and desired final outputs. A directed graph network is generated comprising the nodes and directed edges connecting the nodes. An optimization problem is then solved to determine a best path through the directed graph network for deriving the desired final outputs from the initial data inputs according to the computational objective. The best path comprises a subset of nodes and directed edges within the directed graph network. The best path to achieve the computational objective and estimated computational resources required for the best path are output to a user.
