  • Publication number: 20190263569
Abstract: A tamper evident cap assembly includes an outer cap having an outer cap end wall and an outer cap skirt, and an inner cap having an inner cap end wall and an inner cap skirt. The inner cap skirt has a thread on an inner surface for selectively fastening the cap assembly on a portion of a container. The thread has separations therein. The first and second vertical ratchet teeth of the outer cap and the inner cap, respectively, abut when the outer cap is turned in an application direction to rotate the inner cap and the outer cap together to fasten the inner cap onto the container. When a downward force is applied on the outer cap, the second end teeth on the inner cap engage with the first end teeth on the outer cap applying torque on the outer cap in the removal direction turning the inner cap to release the cap assembly from the container and rupture the tamper evident band.

  • Publication number: 20190052456
Abstract: A method of data transfer from a tenant to a service provider comprises encrypting the data with a public key of a key pair generated by a secure device within the service provider system. The data thus cannot be accessed by the service provider during transmission. The data is generated with a corresponding access control list, which specifies that a valid certificate must be presented N in order to grant a particular use of the data once stored. The tenant can thus retain control of the use of the data even though it has been transferred out of the tenant system. A method of controlling use of data securely stored in the service provider system comprises issuing a use certificate having an expiry time to the party requesting use of the data. The use certificate must be validated before use of the stored data is granted. This enables the tenant to grant use of the stored data for a limited time period.

  • Publication number: 20180360517
Abstract: An articulating wire passer for passing a surgical wire around a bone broadly comprises a handle, rigid guide section, support guide, trigger, push rod, articulable member, tensioner, and wire catcher. The articulable member includes a number of pivotable segments configured to be advanced from an extended position to an engaged position via ratcheting action between the trigger and push rod. Tension in the surgical wire induced by the tensioner causes the pivotable segments to pivot as they advance from the rigid guide section and thus draw the surgical wire around the bone. The wire catcher allows the user to retrieve the surgical wire from the articulable member on the other side of the bone.

  • Publication number: 20180263612
Abstract: A surgical retractor and wire passer broadly comprising an elongated handle, a paddle, a curved tip, and a guide passageway. The elongated handle allows a user to grasp and apply leverage to the surgical retractor and wire passer. The paddle extends from the elongated handle and is a thin and flat plate for holding back non-skeletal tissue away from an operating area. The curved tip extends from the paddle opposite the handle and includes a concave engagement surface for engaging the bone. The guide passageway extends along the curved tip and curls a surgical wire at least partially around the bone.
