    Abstract: A method includes generating vertical-specific (VS) records from data sources. Each VS record includes a vertical identifier and a set of VS data fields. The method further comprises generating, for each VS record, an entity partial (EP) record that includes EP data fields populated from the VS data fields. The EP data fields include an entity ID that indicates an entity for the EP record, a source data field that identifies a data source, and an EP searchable data field including data that is descriptive of the entity. The method further comprises generating a search record for each entity ID by combining data from EP records. The data from the EP records is combined based on the source data included in the EP records. Each search record includes a search record searchable data field that includes data from one or more of the EP searchable data fields.

    Abstract: Described are methods, devices, and systems to provide enhanced wireless coverage for wireless mobile stations by facilitating centralized authentication for a variety of unrelated networks. The mobile stations can then access Internet and telephony resources via the various networks for improved coverage and bandwidth. Some embodiments support the extension of network coverage using wireless-access points that can be partitioned into multiple virtual access points, one associated with an enterprise and another with an overlay network that facilitates mobile communication over multiple networks. One physical access point can support an enterprise network using one virtual access point and the overlay network using another. Users unaffiliated with an enterprise can access the overlay network via the enterprise's physical access point without gaining access to the enterprise network.

    Abstract: An method for PDSN (Packet Data Serving Node) initial assignment and re-selection in a wireless communication system is provided. The method is implemented in PCF (Packet Control Function) within a third-generation (3G) CDMA Radio Access Network (RAN). The methodology reduces the number of point-to-point (PPP) re-establishments, when a Mobile Station (MS) roams to a different packet zone/PCF. The method generates a table of PDSN identification numbers cross-referenced to the PDSN Internet protocol (IP) addresses, residing with each PCF. A PDSN Id number is selected from the table using the MS IMSI (International Mobile Station Identifier) as a key to perform the selection. The present invention methodology addresses the issue of forward and backward compatibility, scalability, reliability, and load sharing in the PDSN selection.
