  • Publication number: 20250143433
Abstract: A hair care appliance is provided. The hair care appliance includes a handle and a body coupled to the handle via a rotational hinge joint. The body can be movable via the rotational hinge joint between a straight configuration in which the body is aligned with a longitudinal axis of the handle and a bent configuration in which the body extends along an axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the handle. A fluid flow path extends between an inlet in the handle and an outlet in the body. The hair care appliance can be operated with minimal loss of fluid flow in either the straight configuration and the bent configuration. The hair care appliance includes a fan assembly in the handle and a heater assembly in the body that are positioned to create a balanced center of mass of the hair care appliance when operated by a user.

  • Patent number: 12289484
Abstract: A method of communicating an alert includes: encoding data received from a plurality of sources by a central content controller (CCC) and determining existence of one or more alerts. If no alerts exist, the encoded data is assigned as streams to subchannels. For existing alerts, a market area (MA) is determined and the alert is assigned as a stream to a data subchannel and the encoded data is assigned as streams to remaining subchannels. For each MA without an applicable alert, the encoded data is assigned as streams to the subchannels. The assigned data is transmitted to regional controllers (RCs) for broadcasting to the associated MAs.

  • Publication number: 20250128346
Abstract: Some examples of the present disclosure relate to the use of protrusions to create electrical continuity between surfaces of a welding-type device housing. In some examples, protrusions may be positioned proximate fastener holes of a housing surface, thereby allowing for a clamp force applied to fasteners extending through the fastener holes to be transferred to the protrusions. The clamp force combined with a sharpness of the protrusions may allow the protrusions to abrasively move and/or remove an electrically insulating powder coating finish from both the protrusions themselves and/or an adjoining housing surface, thereby exposing an underlying electrically conductive material. The exposed electrically conductive material of the protrusion of one housing surface and the exposed electrically conductive material of the adjoining housing surface may be put in contact with one another to create electrical continuity between the housing surfaces.

  • Patent number: 12284157
Abstract: A method of dynamically managing network traffic with granular security zones is disclosed. The method includes receiving a data packet from a user device, the data packet including identifying information indicating a sender and a receiver. The method further includes blocking the data packet from reaching the receiver. The method still further includes mapping, in response to the blocking, the identifying information to entity information and asset information for the sender, and entity information and asset information for the receiver. The method yet further includes matching the entity information with an entity permission of one or more entity permissions, each entity permission indicating that a specific source asset associated with a specific entity can or cannot communicate with a specific target asset associated with a specific entity. The method still further includes updating one or more packet filter rules based on the matching.

  • Publication number: 20250120610
Abstract: Examples provide a system and method for continuous respiratory rate monitoring with greater accuracy and reliability. Sensor data is obtained from a wearable sensor device simultaneously generating both multi-wavelength photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor data as well as inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensor data, such as respiratory body movement data generated by an accelerometer and/or a gyroscope. The system performs signal processing and filtering on the sensor data using a set of rules and threshold(s) to remove Mayer-wave in-band noise, transients, and motion artifacts. PPG-based respiratory rate estimates are generated and combined into a single PPG-based respiratory rate estimate based on the PPG sensor data. IMU-based respiratory rate estimates are generated and combined in parallel using the IMU sensor data to generate a single IMU-based respiratory rate estimate.

  • Patent number: 12275101
Abstract: In some examples, smart spool detection systems use one or more first sensors and/or second sensors to detect and/or determine a first parameter (e.g., size) of a spool that retains filler material (e.g., wire) used by welding-type systems. One or more second sensors are used to detect and/or determine a second parameter of the spool. In some examples, the second parameter may be a weight of the spool, a distance to the filler material (e.g., wire) retained on the spool, and/or an angle of a guide arm lever supported by filler material retained on the spool. The smart spool detection system determines a remaining amount of consumable filler material remaining on the spool using the first and second parameters.

  • Patent number: 12275098
Abstract: A tool less method of connecting a welding-type power source with a cart is disclosed. In some examples, the cart may be configured to carry one or more gas bottles (and/or cylinders). In some examples, the power source housing and the cart may connect at interfacing ends and/or walls of the housing and cart. A connector, such as a clip for example, may span the interface to connect the power source housing and the cart. Catches (e.g. slots, holes, crevices, and/or protrusions) may be formed in and/or on the power supply housing and/or cart proximate to the interfacing ends and/or walls. In some examples, the catches may be aligned. In some examples, the cart and/or power source housing may include alignment surfaces to assist with alignment. The connector may engage the aligned catches to connect the welding-type power source and cart together at the interface.
