Abstract: An alpine ski boot having a curved sole and a rotating boot sole toe. The boot sole toe is rotated upward by hand to allow walking, which is facilitated by the shape of the sole: it is gradually curved from the midsole to the toe. With the boot sole toe rotated down, the boot will engage normally with universally accepted ski bindings and is suitable for any level of skiing. Unlike a conventional boot, the boot sole toe is not in contact with the ground while walking; thus no wear occurs which may hamper binding release.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a food service facility for drive-up and walk-up patronage, to a method for food preparation, to a retractable menu, and to a drink dispenser and service module. The food service facility comprises base level and second level housings, readily set up and removed from a site. The food preparation method is primarily directed to pizza preparation, the pizza being incompletely cooked and stored, and then rapidly cooked to completion to provide fast food service time to patrons.

Abstract: Device for the automatic engagement of the feed movement and of the return movement of the tool slide of a boring head, in which a gear rim is arranged on the inside of the head housing, which gear rim is provided with radially projecting pins, on which camlike thickenings of a ring are mounted, which interacts with vertically arranged cylindrical pins, which are acted upon via spring means, the cylindrical pins being arranged in a position which is pressed downwards in such a manner that they act upon a control disc, which is in work connection with a control cylinder which has a peg, which interacts with a displaceable sleeve and serves to bring a toothed wheel with spur gearing or a second toothed wheel with spur gearing into work connection with a first gear arrangement or with a second gear arrangement respectively and that furthermore means are provided, which form part of a gear arrangement, in order to carry out the feed movement or the return movement of the tool slide.

Abstract: A milling and drilling head for a machine tool has an input shaft housed in a stationary case also incorporating a control means drivingly connected to a ring gear which is fast with a moving case portion accommodating at least one tool holding spindle driven off the master spindle of the machine tool and being set at an angle to the X-axis thereof.

Abstract: A boring and facing head for use in a machine tool comprising a body for insertion into a spindle on the machine tool, a tool, a slide mechanism for supporting the tool for movement transversely of the body, a series of shafts and gears for actuating the slide, and a coupling tongue located at the end of one of these shafts and slidably engageable with a rotary device supported by the machine tool whose rotary movement is precision-controlled by a numerical control unit.

Abstract: An aid for hairdressers comprises a model scalp, a set of sheets each of which is in use attached along one edge to the scalp and means indicating the location on the scalp at which each sheet is to be attached. When correctly attached to the scalp each sheet has a free edge opposite the edge attached to the scalp showing the line along which hair should be cut.

Abstract: Normetanephrine, an N-methylatable phenylethanolamine, is converted to its N-methylated, tritiated derivative, metanephrine, utilizing phenylethanolamine-N-methyltransferase as enzyme and tritiated S-adenosyl-L-methionine as methyl donor. The formed tritiated derivative is selectively extracted in organic solvents and separated from other N-methylatable phenylethanolamines by thin layer chromatography. This assay could be used for measurement of normetanephrine in biological systems of patients with hypertension for detection of pheochromocytoma.
