  • Patent number: 8005601
Abstract: A method controls an internal combustion engine in a drive train having a hydraulic torque converter with a pump wheel and a turbine wheel, during a changeover from an overrun mode into a traction mode. In the method, the rotational speeds of the pump wheel and of the turbine wheel are sensed simultaneously and compared with one another, and a deviation of the rotational speed of the pump wheel from the rotational speed of the turbine wheel being determined. If the rotational speed of the turbine wheel is higher than the rotational speed of the pump wheel and the deviation drops below a predefined threshold value, the torque of the internal combustion engine is set in dependence on the deviation and a rate of change of the rotational speed of the pump wheel. Furthermore a control unit is configured to carry out such a method.

  • Publication number: 20080195287
Abstract: In a method for assessing a closed state of a clutch in a drive train of a motor vehicle, with which clutch a driver controls a frictional connection between an internal combustion engine and a change speed transmission of the motor vehicle, the assessment is carried out in dependence on a signal of a sensor which detects activation of the clutch. The method is distinguished by the fact that a difference in rotational speed which occurs across the clutch is determined and the assessment is additionally carried out in dependence on the difference in rotational speed. In addition, a control unit is configured to carry out the method.

  • Publication number: 20060194941
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for preparing a melt-processable polylactam by contacting caprolactam monomer with an anionic polymerization catalyst chosen from the group consisting of magnesium-lactamates and magnesium-lactamate forming compounds and acyllactam, polymerizing said monomer and contacting the resulting polylactam with a protic compound. The resulting polylactam has a good meltstability and a low degree of branching.

  • Publication number: 20060173156
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for preparing a melt-processable polylactam by contacting caprolactam monomer with an anionic polymerization catalyst, polymerizing said monomer and contacting the resulting polylactam with a protic compound. The anionic polymerization catalyst is chosen from the group consisting of alkali-earth-metal-lactamates and alkali-earth-metal-lactamate forming compounds and the protic compound has a pKa larger than 14. The resulting polylactam has a good melt-stability and very low cyclic dimer content.
