  • Patent number: 11983955
Abstract: Image fingerprints (embeddings) are generated by an image fingerprinting model and indexed with an approximate nearest neighbors (ANN) model trained to identify the most similar fingerprint based on a subject embedding. For image matching, a score is provided that indicates a similarity between the input embedding and the most similar identified embedding, which allows for matching even when an image has been distorted, rotated, cropped, or otherwise modified. For image classification, the embeddings in the index are clustered and the clusters are labeled. Users can provide just a few images to add to the index as a labeled cluster. The ANN model returns a score and label of the most similar identified embedding for labeling the subject image if the score exceeds a threshold. As improvements are made to the image fingerprinting model, a converter model is trained to convert the original embeddings to be compatible with the new embeddings.

  • Patent number: 11983438
Abstract: A technique improves implementation of an index for an operations log (oplog) that coalesces random write operations directed to a virtual disk (vdisk) stored on an extent store. The oplog temporarily caches data associated with the random write operations (i.e., write data) as well as metadata describing the write data. The metadata includes descriptors to the write data stored on virtual address regions, i.e., offset ranges, of the vdisk and are used to identify the offset ranges of write data for the vdisk that are cached in the oplog. To facilitate fast lookup operations of the offset ranges when determining whether write data is cached in the oplog, an oplog index provides a state of the latest data for offset ranges of the vdisk. The technique improves implementation of the oplog index by storing the oplog index in storage class memory, such as persistent memory, to obviate failure and subsequent recovery of the oplog index.

  • Patent number: 11977605
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed that implement an automatically evolving code recommendation engine. In one example, the apparatus collects a user code snippet. The apparatus then determines a structured representation of the user code snippet. Next, the apparatus generates a recommended code snippet using the structured representation of the user code snippet. Then the apparatus obtains user-determined code snippet feedback comparing the user code snippet to the recommended code snippet, the user-determined code snippet feedback indicating one of a match, no match, or uncertain. Finally, the apparatus stores a code snippet training pair in a training database, the code snippet training pair including the user code snippet and the recommended code snippet.

  • Patent number: 11978266
Abstract: In various examples, estimated field of view or gaze information of a user may be projected external to a vehicle and compared to vehicle perception information corresponding to an environment outside of the vehicle. As a result, interior monitoring of a driver or occupant of the vehicle may be used to determine whether the driver or occupant has processed or seen certain object types, environmental conditions, or other information exterior to the vehicle. For a more holistic understanding of the state of the user, attentiveness and/or cognitive load of the user may be monitored to determine whether one or more actions should be taken. As a result, notifications, AEB system activations, and/or other actions may be determined based on a more complete state of the user as determined based on cognitive load, attentiveness, and/or a comparison between external perception of the vehicle and estimated perception of the user.

  • Publication number: 20240143751
Abstract: A stream of cybersecurity alerts is received. Each cybersecurity alert from the stream of cybersecurity alerts is associated with a set of attributes. Each cybersecurity alert from the stream of cybersecurity alerts is associated, based on the set of attributes and as that cybersecurity alert is received, to a bucket from a set of buckets. Each bucket from the set of buckets is associated with (1) an attribute from the set of attributes different than remaining buckets from the set of buckets and (2) a set cybersecurity alerts from the stream of cybersecurity alerts having the attribute. For each bucket from the set of buckets, a set of correlations between cybersecurity alerts included in the set of cybersecurity alerts for that bucket are determined, based on the set of cybersecurity alerts for that bucket, to generate an attack graph associated with that bucket.

  • Publication number: 20240143462
Abstract: A technique monitors input/output (I/O) and Persistent Reservation (PR) activity patterns to detect degraded performance of a highly available and fault tolerant application executing in a multi-site disaster recovery (DR) environment. Multiple instances of the application execute in different virtual machines (VMs) of a compute layer within a guest clustering configuration that extends across clusters of the sites. A storage layer of the clusters provides shared storage to the multiple VMs across the multiple sites. One of the sites is configured as an active storage site configured to receive and service I/O requests from the compute layer. A single instance of the application is active at a time and configured as a “compute owner” of the shared storage to issue the I/O requests to the shared storage. The compute owner and active storage site may not be co-located on the same site, leading to excessive I/O and PR activity patterns indicative of degraded performance.

  • Publication number: 20240143072
Abstract: In various examples, systems and methods are disclosed that provide highly accurate gaze predictions that are specific to a particular user by generating and applying, in deployment, personalized calibration functions to outputs and/or layers of a machine learning model. The calibration functions corresponding to a specific user may operate on outputs (e.g., gaze predictions from a machine learning model) to provide updated values and gaze predictions. The calibration functions may also be applied one or more last layers of the machine learning model to operate on features identified by the model and provide values that are more accurate. The calibration functions may be generated using explicit calibration methods by instructing users to gaze at a number of identified ground truth locations within the interior of the vehicle. Once generated, the calibration functions may be modified or refined through implicit gaze calibration points and/or regions based on gaze saliency maps.
