  • Publication number: 20230159876
Abstract: The disclosure relates to bioreactors, for example for biological treatment and, more specifically to bioreactor insert apparatus including biofilms and related methods. The bioreactor insert apparatus provides a means for circulation of reaction medium within the bioreactor, a biofilm support, and biological treatment of an inlet feed to die reactor/insert apparatus. The bioreactor insert apparatus has a high relative surface area for biofilm attachment and is capable of generating complex flow patterns and increasing treatment efficiency/biological conversion activity in a biologically-active reactor. The high surface area structure incorporates multiple biofilm support structures such as meshes at inlet and outlet portions of the structure. The biofilm support structures and biofilms thereon can increase overall reaction rate of the bioreactor and/or perform some solid/liquid separation in the treatment of the wastewater or other influent.

  • Patent number: 11654622
Abstract: Illustrative examples of forming and using suitably adapted material in an additive manufacturing process includes operations of: exposing a first polymer sheet to a first plasma, such that an amine-functionalized sheet surface is formed; exposing a second polymer sheet to a second plasma, such that an epoxide-functionalized sheet surface is formed; and combining the amine-functionalized sheet and the epoxide-functionalized sheet, such that the amine-functionalized sheet surface contacts the epoxide-functionalized sheet surface. The workpiece is subsequently heated to form a structure, where heating of the workpiece causes covalent chemical bonds to form between the plasma-treated first polymer sheet and the plasma-treaded second polymer sheet.

  • Patent number: 11657263
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining the gaze direction of a subject and projecting this gaze direction onto specific regions of an arbitrary three-dimensional geometry. In an exemplary embodiment, gaze direction may be determined by a regression-based machine learning model. The determined gaze direction is then projected onto a three-dimensional map or set of surfaces that may represent any desired object or system. Maps may represent any three-dimensional layout or geometry, whether actual or virtual. Gaze vectors can thus be used to determine the object of gaze within any environment. Systems can also readily and efficiently adapt for use in different environments by retrieving a different set of surfaces or regions for each environment.

  • Publication number: 20230153826
Abstract: Aspects described herein may relate to a transaction exchange platform using a streaming data platform (SDP) and microservices to process transactions according to review and approval workflows. The transaction exchange platform may receive transactions from origination sources, which may be added to the SDP as transaction objects. As the transactions are received, the transactions may be analyzed to detect duplicate transactions and/or errors in the transactions. The transaction exchange platform may take steps to remediate transactions that are recognized as duplicates or predicted to generate one or more errors. • Publication number: 20230153197
Abstract: An address fault detection system includes write and read access circuits and a fault management circuit. The write access circuit receives an address and reference data for a write operation associated with a memory and parity data generated based on the reference data, and writes the reference data and the parity data to first and second memory blocks of the memory, respectively. The read access circuit receives the same address for a read operation associated with the memory and reads another reference data and another parity data from the first and second memory blocks, respectively. The fault management circuit compares the read parity data with parity data generated based on the read reference data to detect an address fault in the memory. The written and read reference data are different when the address fault is detected, and same when the address fault is not detected.

  • Publication number: 20230139140
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for recognizing a user are disclosed. A speech-controlled device captures a spoken utterance, and sends audio data corresponding thereto to a server. The server determines content sources storing or having access to content responsive to the spoken utterance. The server also determines multiple users associated with a profile of the speech-controlled device. Using the audio data, the server may determine user recognition data with respect to each user indicated in the speech-controlled device's profile. The server may also receive user recognition confidence threshold data from each of the content sources. The server may determine user recognition data associated that satisfies (i.e., meets or exceeds) a most stringent (i.e., highest) of the user recognition confidence threshold data. Thereafter, the server may send data indicating a user associated with the user recognition data to all of the content sources.

  • Publication number: 20230128810
Abstract: An electronic control system provides selectable linear and pulse-width modulated (PWM) operation with reduced disruption when changing from PWM operation to linear operation. The system includes an output stage that has a push-pull driver coupled to the load, which may be a motor, a haptic device, or other device requiring current-mode control. The system also includes a pulse-width modulated (PWM) driver for providing pulse-width modulated drive signals to gates of the transistors of the output stage when a pulse-width modulated mode is selected, and a linear amplifier stage that provides a linear analog signal to the gates of the transistors when a linear mode is selected. A pre-charging circuit pre-charges the gates during a pre-charge cycle that is initiated when the operating mode changes from the PWM operating more to the linear operating mode.

  • Patent number: 11637749
Abstract: Responsive to a configuration event, a controller instance generates, according to a current version of a configuration interface between the controller instance and a data instance, a configuration message. The configuration message is obtained, via message service, by remote data instances. The remote data instances attempt to process the configuration message, according to whichever version of the configuration interface the respective data instances are using. Appropriate acknowledgements (based on whether the remote data instances could fully process the configuration message or not) are generated and returned to the controller instance that marks a record for the configuration message as complete for the remote instance or marks the record for the configuration message to be re-sent for the remote instance. After waiting some period of time to allow data instances with out-of-date versions to update, a configuration message update cycle re-sends the message to the appropriate remote data instances.
