  • Publication number: 20240089098
Abstract: A decryption key is recovered that is utilized to decrypt an encrypted resource. One or more location attribute policy (LAP) servers determine whether a user attempting to access a resource has the necessary attributes to access the resource and is in a valid location in which the user is required to be to access the resource. The attributes and location are defined by a policy assigned to the resource. To verify that the user has the required attributes, the LAP server(s) request a cryptographic proof from the user that proves that the user has the required attributes. Upon validating the proof, a first portion of the decryption key is released. The LAP server(s) release a second portion of the decryption key after verifying that the user is in the required location. The LAP server(s) generate the decryption key based on the released portions.

  • Patent number: 11915226
Abstract: A validation terminal located at a registered location comprises a barcode reader, a memory, and a processor. The memory stores a public key that is paired with a private key linked with the registered location of the validation terminal. The processor is operably coupled to the barcode reader and the memory, and is configured to detect an encrypted barcode that was scanned by the barcode reader from a mobile device that is located at the registered location of the validation terminal. The encrypted barcode is based at least in part upon transaction information associated with products in a digital cart, and the encrypted barcode is encrypted using the private key. The processor is further configured to decrypt the encrypted barcode using the stored public key, and to indicate the transaction is valid in response to decrypting the encrypted barcode using the public key.

  • Publication number: 20240056424
Abstract: Embodiments described herein are directed to a verifiable identity map that maintains identities and public keys associated with the identities. The map is maintained by a ledger database that provides tamper-resistant/evident capabilities for tables (comprising the map) thereof. For instance, when a materialized view of the database is generated, the database provides a digest representative of a state thereof to computing devices that access the map for the keys. When the database receives a request from a device to access the map, the digest is received along therewith. The database is validated based on the digest to determine whether the database has been tampered with since the provision of the digest. Responsive to a successful validation, the database provides access in accordance with the request. When a key in the map is updated, the database subsequently generates a new digest, which is provided to the computing device.

  • Patent number: 11881989
Abstract: A storage gateway serves as an interface between processes on a customer network and a service provider. The storage gateway is located on-premise with the customer processes. To customer processes, it appears that data is stored locally. However, the storage gateway interfaces with a remote storage service to store the data. For cached gateways, the primary data store is a remote data store, while frequently accessed data may be locally cached by the gateway. Reads may be satisfied from the local cache or from virtual data storage; writes are handled so as to appropriately update data blocks in the local cache and/or in virtual data storage. For shadowing gateways, the primary data store is the local data store; reads are passed through to a local data store, and writes are shadowed to virtual data storage as well as being sent to local data store.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and a system for remotely measuring the properties of a fluid. The system comprises a waveguide, a transducer, and a processing unit. One end of the waveguide is coupled to the transducer and the second end is immersed in a fluid. The transducer is aligned at a certain angle of excitation ranging between 0°-90° with respect to the waveguide such that it can transmit ultrasonic waves comprising at least two wave modes. A part of the at least two wave modes transmitted through the wave guide leaks into the surrounding fluid and the remaining part is reflected. The attenuation of the at least two wave modes is studied in various attenuation regimes ranging between 0-1200 kHz. The reflected at least two wave modes are transmitted to the processing unit for extracting various parameters. Based on the extracted parameters, different properties of the fluid are measured.
