  • Publication number: 20230224722
Abstract: Optimizing a performance of a software function within a content delivery network, such as a software-implemented virtual cable modem termination system (CMTS) network, a virtualized Radio Access Network (vRAN), a Passive Optical Network (PON), or a Wi-Fi network. The performance may be optimized by dynamically changing a deployment location of a software function for a set of one or more users but not all users of a content delivery network from an original location to an updated location using an instance management platform. The deployment location may be dynamically changing in response to a variety of trigger conditions or concerns, such as but not limited to a difference in compute resources, responding to latency needs or tolerances, and a desired cohabitation of data or other software.

  • Publication number: 20230176730
Abstract: A register management system is coupled to a register. The register management system receives an address and functional data for a write operation to be performed on the register. The functional data includes write bits and mask bits associated with the write bits. One or more mask bits having a first logic state indicate that associated one or more write bits are to be written to the register, respectively. Based on the address, the register management system selects a first half of the register or a second half of the register to perform the write operation. Further, the register management system writes the one or more write bits associated with the one or more mask bits having the first logic state to one or more storage elements of the first half of the register or the second half of the register, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20230168708
Abstract: A multi-clock domain system includes a synchronizer circuit. The synchronizer circuit includes a sequential logic circuit and a synchronizing stage. The sequential logic circuit receives a functional signal that is generated based on a first clock signal that is further associated with a first clock domain, a second clock signal that is associated with a second clock domain, and a reference signal. Based on the first and second clock signals and the reference signal, the synchronizer circuit outputs a logic signal. When the functional signal is activated, the logic signal is activated and remains activated for a predetermined time duration after the functional signal is deactivated. The synchronizing stage receives the second clock signal and further receives the logic signal from the sequential logic circuit, and outputs a synchronized functional signal.

  • Publication number: 20230141624
Abstract: A system determines an amount of time available for responding to a request regarding eligibility for a client account for a modification based on a confidence grade for the client. The system transmits a first query and a second query. The system uses trained machine learning model(s) to determine respective estimated receipt times of first and second datasets responsive to the first and second queries, and to determine respective importance levels of the first and second datasets to determining the confidence grade. The system generates a preliminary confidence grade based on the first dataset, and delays generation of the confidence grade until the second dataset is received based on the estimated receipt times and importance levels. The system updates the preliminary confidence grade using the second dataset to generate the confidence grade, determines the eligibility determination, and updates the training of the machine learning models.

  • Publication number: 20230144337
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and a system for managing radio unit or Open-Radio Unit (O-RU) (116) failure. The method manages the O-RU failure through a plurality of NETCONF (Network Configuration Protocol) clients by a management-plane (M-Plane) in an open radio access network (100). The method includes establishing the M-Plane between the O-RU and the plurality of NETCONF clients available with each of an Open-Distributed Unit (O-DU) (114) and a Service Management and Orchestration (SMO) framework (102) and detecting failure by the plurality of NETCONF clients in the connection between the O-RU and the plurality of NETCONF clients within a session at a predefined time duration. Lastly, the method includes switching the connection from a hybrid model to a hierarchical model in case of the failure with the hybrid model, whereby switching the connection ensures returning to the hybrid model without reset when the SMO framework connection is back.
