Abstract: An approach for providing a shared user interface view is described. A user interface view sharing platform may present a user interface view at a first device for interacting with a second device, wherein the first device has an interface to the second device. The user interface view sharing platform may further encode the user interface view, data associated with the first device, other data associated with the second device, or a combination thereof into a data payload. The user interface view sharing platform may also transmit the data payload to a third device, wherein the user interface view, the data associated with the first device, the other data associated with the second device, or a combination thereof is reconstructed at the third device for interacting with the second device via the third device based on the data payload.

Abstract: Techniques described herein relate to remote access of computing devices. In one implementation, a method may include receiving a voice command from a first computing device associated with a user and parsing the voice command. The parsing may include determining a label, assigned by the user, to identify a second computing device associated with the user, and an action associated with the second computing device. The method may further include transmitting an indication of the action to the second computing device; receiving results, from the second computing device, relating to execution of the action by the second computing device; and transmitting the results to the first computing device.

Abstract: A database-driven testing method and system for testing client-server applications are described. The system first receives a command to test a module on a server and identifies in a database a message list corresponding to the module. The message list indicates at least a request message and an expected response message supported by the module to be tested. The system then retrieves from the database a plurality of parameters for the messages in the message list and constructs the request message based on the parameters. The system then transmits the request message to the module on the server, receives a server response message from the server in response to the request message, and compares the server response message with the expected response message.

Abstract: A method includes accessing television (TV) command data including a plurality of TV commands for controlling a TV. The plurality of TV commands includes at least one selection of a feature. The method may include identifying a first pattern of TV commands based on the TV command data. The first pattern of TV commands correlates with the at least one selection of a feature. The method may further include receiving a second pattern of TV commands. The method may include determining whether the second pattern of TV commands substantially matches the model pattern of TV commands. In addition, the method may include providing a feature recommendation based on the at least one selection of the feature in response to a determination that the second pattern of TV commands substantially matches the model pattern of TV commands.

Abstract: An approach for providing feature configuration management is described. A service controller platform, monitors at least one environmental parameter of a mobile device; determines an event according to a threshold, the event being based on at least a change in the at least one environmental parameter; determines a feature configuration setting associated with at least one of the threshold or the event according to a device profile, wherein the device profile specifies a feature configuration setting that includes at least one of locking the mobile device, limiting access to at least one predetermined application, or disabling the mobile device; and causes the mobile device to change a feature configuration according to the feature configuration setting.

Abstract: A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions executable by at least one processor, the instructions to cause the at least one processor to bill a subscriber, enrolled in a multi-tiered pricing plan, a plan fee associated with the multi-tiered pricing plan, for each billing cycle of a plurality of billing cycles, for services associated with a subscriber device; track, for each billing cycle, an amount of usage of the services; determine, for each billing cycle, a pricing tier corresponding to the tracked usage; and bill the subscriber, for each billing cycle, a fee associated with the corresponding pricing tier, wherein at least two of the corresponding pricing tiers differ.

Abstract: An approach for conserving power of a mobile device based on its pattern of use with respect to one or more tasks is described. An intelligent power source manager collects consumption information relating to a power source of a mobile device for execution of one or more tasks. A pattern of use with respect to the one or more tasks based on the collected consumption information is then determined. The intelligent power source manager then selects an action to conserve usage of the power source, according to the pattern of use, in response to subsequent execution of the one or more tasks.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and storage media for tracking communications between a user and a user-selected party; obtaining communication tracking information based on the tracking, wherein the communication tracking information includes a time associated with each communication; calculating a communication gap pertaining to the user-selected party based on the communication tracking information, wherein the communication gap is a period of time that elapsed from a last communication with the other party to a current time; and providing the user with communication gap information in response to receiving a user request.

Abstract: An approach for scoring the influence of a user based on the sharing of an advertisement by the user with others is described. An advertising sharing platform determines a forwarding of an advertisement by a first device to a second device associated with a social network of a user of the first device. The advertising sharing platform then generates an influence score of the user of the first device and the user of the second device based on the type of response based on a determined type of response of the user.

Abstract: A method includes receiving usage data associated with a user device. The usage data includes information based on at least one usage activity associated with one or more applications on the user device. The method may also include analyzing the usage data based on predetermined criteria and determining a security question and a corresponding answer based on the usage data. The security question and the corresponding answer are stored in an associated database. The method further includes providing the security question and the corresponding answer in response to a request for the security question and the corresponding answer. Access is provided to a system based on an input of the corresponding answer in response to the security question.

Abstract: An approach is provided for providing a user with a ranked list of possible physical addresses in response to an address submitted by the user. An address submitted by a user is parsed and a number of possible candidate addresses are generated from the user provided address. The quality of the candidate addresses is ranked according to the quality of their individual address elements and factors applied to these elements. An overall quality score for each candidate address is thereby derived. The list of candidate address is displayed to the user according to overall quality score ranking.

Abstract: A method may include enrolling a subscriber device in an adaptive pricing service plan for providing telecommunication service to the subscriber device; associating, with the telecommunication service, a first pricing scheme including a first number of allotted minutes within a current billing cycle; tracking, for the subscriber device within the current billing cycle, cumulative used minutes of the telecommunication service; determining, using a forecasting model and the cumulative used minutes, prospective minutes usage with respect to the first number of allotted minutes for an entirety of the current billing cycle; generating, based on the prospective minutes usage, a recommendation related to a second pricing scheme including a second number of allotted minutes; and sending, within the current billing cycle, the recommendation to the subscriber device.

The workforce dispatch platform generates workflow information for dispatch of workforce to satisfy the request and the other requests based on the determination.

Abstract: A method includes identifying a current time that at least one video program is viewed by at least one device associated with at least one user account. An initial billing time that the at least one video program is to be billed associated with the at least one user account may be identified. The method may include determining whether the current time is equal to the initial billing time. At least one coefficient associated with the at least one video program at the current time may be identified in response to a determination that the current time is equal to the initial billing time. The method may include determining a usage based billing for the at least one user account based on the current time that the at least one video program is viewed and the at least one coefficient associated with the at least one video program.
