  • Patent number: 8271510
Abstract: A device may include a memory and a processor. The memory may be configured to store a regular address database and store a translated address database. The processor may be configured to perform a lookup, in the regular address database, of a regular address that corresponds to a working address. In addition, the processor may be further configured to determine whether the working address is qualified to be converted into an address comprising aliases that correspond to terms in the working address when the regular address is not found in the translated address database, and convert the working address to generate a first translated address when the working address is qualified to be converted.

  • Patent number: 8271525
Abstract: The apparatus, methods and systems for a smart address parser (hereinafter, “SAP”) described herein implement a text parser whereby users may enter a text string, such as manually via an input field. The SAP processes the input address string to extract address elements for storage, display, reporting, and/or use in a wide variety of back-end applications. In various embodiments and implementations, the SAP may facilitate: separation and identification of address components regardless of the order in which they are supplied in the input address string; supplementation of missing address information; correction and/or recognition of misspelled terms, abbreviations, alternate names, and/or the like variants of address elements; recognition of unique addresses based on minimal but sufficient input identifiers; and/or the like.

  • Publication number: 20120131209
Abstract: A network device receives a geographic location of a mobile device. The network device accesses a database to identify addresses within a distance parameter of the received geographic location, and retrieves attributes associated with the identified addresses from the database, wherein the attributes comprise attributes associated with one or more network services provided to customers from a network service provider. The network device sends the identified customer addresses and the retrieved network service attributes to the mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20120124074
Abstract: A database-driven testing method and system for testing client-server applications are described. The system first receives a command to test a module on a server and identifies in a database a message list corresponding to the module. The message list indicates at least a request message and an expected response message supported by the module to be tested. The system then retrieves from the database a plurality of parameters for the messages in the message list and constructs the request message based on the parameters. The system then transmits the request message to the module on the server, receives a server response message from the server in response to the request message, and compares the server response message with the expected response message.

  • Publication number: 20110307476
Abstract: An approach is provided for providing a user with a ranked list of possible physical addresses in response to an address submitted by the user. An address submitted by a user is parsed and a number of possible candidate addresses are generated from the user provided address. The quality of the candidate addresses is ranked according to the quality of their individual address elements and factors applied to these elements. An overall quality score for each candidate address is thereby derived.
