  • Publication number: 20070103741
Abstract: A technique of processing images previously-formed on first and second opposite sides of a document is disclosed. The technique includes: reading the images on the document at a reading position by scan; transporting the document such that the first side is moved facing the reading position, and, after the first side is read, the second side is moved facing the reading position; and controlling at least one of a start-of-reading timing of the first side and a start-of-reading timing of the second side, such that a relationship between the start-of-reading timing of the first side and the start-of-reading timing of the second side varies, depending on whether or not an extension direction of a binding edge along which the document is to be bound is parallel to a document orientation in which a length of the document is oriented with respect to a transport direction of the document being transported.

  • Publication number: 20070104524
Abstract: A document feeder includes a bidirectional feed path having both ends connected to predetermined positions of the bidirectional feed path, respectively. A document is fed from a downstream side of the image reading position to an upstream side with leading end and trailing end being reversed. The driving force is not transmitted when the rotation of the rotating member of the driving source is switched from one direction to the other, while the driving force is transmitted when an actuator is operated based on the driving system being rotated in the other direction. The actuator is actuated when the driving system is rotated in the other direction and the document is drawn in the bidirectional feed path. If the rotated amount of the driving source during the actuation of the actuator is less than a predetermined value, the actuator is actuated by a predetermined period.

  • Publication number: 20070085258
Abstract: In a document feeder, a driving control unit feeds a document by a switch-back feeding unit, guides again the document from a document feed path to a bidirectional feed path, and then discharges the document from the document feed path to a document discharging section, when the feeding of the document is in a double-sided scanning feeding mode and in a status during first side feeding. The driving control unit feeds the document by the switch-back feeding unit and then discharges the document from the document feed path, when the feeding of the document is in the double-sided scanning feeding mode and in the status during second side feeding. The driving control unit discharges the document from the document feed path without feeding the document in the switch-back manner, when the feeding of the document is in the double-sided scanning feeding mode and after the second side feeding.

  • Publication number: 20050265797
Abstract: There are provided a printed board drilling method and a printed board machining apparatus that are capable of improving machining quality, such positional accuracy of holes and true roundness of machined holes, and work efficiency by minimizing a runout of the tip of a drill. An extension of the drill extending out a spindle when the drill is held by the spindle is defined in advance per type or mode of use of each drill. One drill is selected among a plurality of drills corresponding to a shape of holes to be drilled in the printed board and the spindle is caused to hold the drill so that the selected drill extends out of the spindle by the extension corresponding to the selected drill. Then, the move of the spindle with respect to the printed board is controlled and the selected drill is rotationally driven by the spindle to drill the printed board.

  • Patent number: 6585494
Abstract: Variable-capacity control is reliably carried out without using a large pressure control valve while maintaining sufficient pressure resistance in a refrigerating cycle in which carbon dioxide is used as its coolant. A pressure sensor for measuring the pressure on the low pressure side of this refrigerating cycle is used. The electromagnetic coil of the pressure control valve is controlled so that the measured pressure approaches the target value. Low pressure is applied equally to both ends in the direction of movement of the valve disc of the pressure control valve, so that the valve disc can be moved by a light load, and hence the size of the electromagnetic coil can be small.
