Publication number: 20020074766Abstract: This invention relates to a bicycle having a driving force transmitting mechanism with oscillating fulcrum point. A sliding part is provided with a dust cover or a brush to prevent dust and the like from being entered therein and to remove the dust, if entered, therefrom. When a rider steps on the pedals alternatively, force of the pedal levers generated by the oscillation of the pedal levers is transmitted to the sprocket through the crank lever. When the pedal levers oscillate, an oscillating fulcrum point of the pedal lever is moved in a lateral direction within the sliding part. The rotating force of the sprocket is transmitted to the rear wheel through a chain. Even if the locus Q of motion of the pedal is different in the first half period (a stepping-on period) and the second half period (a stepping-up period), a smooth movement of the pedal is assured. Such a smooth movement can be kept enough by the dust cover.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 21, 2002Publication date: June 20, 2002Inventors: Nobuhiro Fujiwara, Atsushi Mamiya

Publication number: 20020053779Abstract: This invention relates to a bicycle having a driving force transmitting mechanism with oscillating fulcrum point. A crank lever is connected between a sprocket and the one of pedal levers. When a rider steps on the pedals alternatively, force of the pedal levers generated by the oscillation of the pedal levers is transmitted to the sprocket through the crank lever. When the pedal levers oscillate, an oscillating fulcrum point of the pedal lever is moved, not fixed, in a lateral direction within the sliding part. The rotating force of the sprocket is transmitted to the rear wheel through a chain. With such an arrangement, a configuration of the rotating force transmitting mechanism for the rear wheel is simplified. Even if the locus Q of motion of the pedal is different in the first half period (a stepping-on period) and the second half period (a stepping-up period), a smooth rotation of the pedal is assured.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 9, 1999Publication date: May 9, 2002Inventors: NOBUHIRO FUJIWARA, ATSUSHI MAMIYA

Patent number: 6200100Abstract: A lift amount of a valve plug is controlled with respect to a period of time from valve-closing operation instruction time for an electric opening/closing valve to arrival at a preset quick valve-closing operation position at which a flow line of a fluid discharged from a discharge port of a nozzle is in a constricted state, in accordance with a driving action of an electric actuator. The valve plug of the electric opening/closing valve is controlled to be at a closed position after the arrival at the quick valve-closing operation position. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the incontinent liquid drip from the nozzle during the valve-closing operation of the electric opening/closing valve.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 1999Date of Patent: March 13, 2001Assignee: SMC Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Qinghai Yang, Hirosuke Yamada, Kazuya Tamura, Nobuhiro Fujiwara

Patent number: 5736270Abstract: A battery device having a high discharge current value and a high current collecting efficiency at electrodes. A first active material is applied on a first current collecting unit avoiding one end and/or the other end of the width direction to form an anode, and a second active material is applied on a second current collecting unit avoiding one end and/or the other end of the width direction to form a cathode. The current generated at the electrodes formed by winding the anode and cathode via separators is output through the parts uncoated with the first active material of anode and the parts uncoated with the second active material of cathode, so as to realize the battery device having a high discharge current value and a high current collecting efficiency at the electrodes.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1996Date of Patent: April 7, 1998Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Hirotsugu Suzuki, Nobuhiro Fujiwara

Patent number: 5653314Abstract: A rodless cylinder with a position detector and a brake has a sliding table which is slidably retained on a cylinder tube. A moving member (piston yoke) of the rodless cylinder is secured to the sliding table. A brake unit part is connected to one side of the sliding table, and a sensor part is connected to the other side of the sliding table. A brake plate is disposed to extend through the brake unit part. Both ends of the brake plate are connected to a first and second head covers, respectively, which are provided at both ends of the cylinder tube. A first and second brake shoes are disposed to sandwich the brake plate therebetween. The first brake shoe is subjected to brake spring force. A passage for supplying a pressure fluid is communicated with the other side of the sliding table. Thus, the brake is actuated by allowing the brake spring force, together with a fluid pressure if necessary, to act on the first brake shoe, and the brake is released by the action of a fluid pressure.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 1995Date of Patent: August 5, 1997Assignee: SMC CorporationInventors: Hitoshi Yamamoto, Kenji Fukushima, Hiroyuki Shimono, Nobuhiro Fujiwara

Patent number: 5557189Abstract: A battery charging apparatus for charging the electricity from a current source to a cell includes a variable resistor in parallel with the cell, a cell voltage detection unit for detecting the current voltage value of the cell and a comparator for comparing the current voltage value to a pre-set voltage value. The resistance value of the variable resistor is controlled responsive to the results of comparison so that the current from the current source is caused to flow through both the cell and the variable resistor with progress in the charging of the cell. The current is prevented from flowing through the cell when the cell is fully charged, so that overcharging is eliminated. If plural cells are charged in series, the control operation of not causing the current to flow through the fully charged cell can be carried out for each of the cells, so that integrated charging may be continued until all of the cells are fully charged thus shortening the cell charging time.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 1994Date of Patent: September 17, 1996Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Mamoru Suzuki, Minoru Iijima, Yasuyuki Ishihama, Nobuhiro Fujiwara
