  • Patent number: 8943438
Abstract: For each smartphone application included in a smartphone, an identifier, such as a name of the smartphone application, and information on whether the smartphone application operates in cooperation with a vehicle-mounted device, are registered in a smartphone application management table. From the smartphone applications included in the connected smartphone, higher priority is given to the smartphone applications that are registered in the smartphone application management table as applications that operate in cooperation with the vehicle-mounted device. A lower priority is given to other smartphone applications. Icons of the high priority smartphone applications are arranged on a first page of a smartphone application menu, whereas icons of the low priority smartphone applications are sequentially arranged on second and following pages.

  • Patent number: 8523323
Abstract: A system and method for mounting a fluid droplet ejection module to a frame is disclosed, where the fluid ejection module includes a mounting component having a mounting surface. A connector is configured to detachably attach to the frame and is positioned between the frame and the mounting surface of the fluid ejection module. A portion of a mating surface of the connector is positioned adjacent the mounting surface of a corresponding fluid ejection module and is in direct contact with the mounting surface. One or more recesses are formed in at least one of either the mounting surface of the fluid ejection module or the mating surface of the connector. The one or more recesses have a substantially uniform thickness and are filled with an adhesive. The adhesive is cured after aligning the fluid ejection module to the frame.

  • Patent number: 8262192
Abstract: A printing device has a gas source, a printhead having a nozzle plate with nozzles in the nozzle plate, the nozzles are fluidly connected to corresponding pumping chamber and a gas outlet positioned adjacent to the nozzle plate. The gas outlet is in fluid communication with the gas source and the gas outlet is configured to provide gas to an exposed surface of the nozzle plate so that the gas flow is substantially parallel to the surface of the nozzle plate. Fluid that is ejected out of the nozzles has a UV curable component. After the fluid has been ejected out of the nozzle and onto a receiver, the fluid is irradiated and cured.

  • Publication number: 20100156998
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for printing are described. A first mode of printing includes actuating a set of two or more actuators configured to drive printing fluid ejection from a corresponding set of two or more nozzles. In response to a drive signal, each actuator pressurizes a corresponding pumping chamber and ejects a printing fluid from a nozzle in fluid communication with the pumping chamber. The printing fluid ejected from the set of two or more nozzles represents a single pixel of an image being printed. A second mode of printing is in response to determining that a nozzle in the set of nozzles is operating defectively, and includes adjusting the one or more drive signals to the one or more remaining nozzles in the set such that the volume of printing fluid ejected from the remaining nozzles compensates for a lack of printing fluid ejected from the defective nozzle.

  • Publication number: 20070032373
Abstract: The invention is to provide a method for regenerating a deteriorated denitration catalyst by an easy and simple procedure. A catalyst that is used for reduction removal of NOx contained in a exhaust gas by using ammonia as a reducing agent and has been deteriorated in activity through long term use is washed with an acid aqueous solution having pH of 4 or less, and preferably 2 or less, containing vanadium and/or tungsten. The washing operation dissolves away mainly an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, arsenic and sulfur, which are deteriorating components, and vanadium and tungsten having been deteriorated in activity, and simultaneously vanadium and/or tungsten as an active component is deposited thereon. Examples of the alkali metal include potassium and sodium, and examples of the alkaline earth metal include calcium.

  • Patent number: 6833861
Abstract: A digital still camera is provided with a data communication section which transfers image data of a picture frame photographed by the digital still camera to a printing equipment through a radio telephony channel each time the picture frame is photographed. The data communication section sends ID data consisting of a user ID number and a frame ID number and print order data as along with the image data. In the printing equipment, the received image data and ID data is stored as database in a memory. Based on the image data read from the database, a printer makes hard copies in conditions designated by the print order data. The hard copies are delivered to a place appointed by the print order data.
