  • Publication number: 20060066231
Abstract: An EL element includes, between an anode and a cathode, an emissive element layer including a plurality of emissive layers. The emissive element layer includes two or more organic layers containing a hole transporting compound, and one or more of the plurality of emissive layers contain the hole transporting compound. The concentration of the hole transporting compound in the organic layer which is formed closest to the electron injecting electrode among the organic layers containing the hole transporting compound is lower than the concentration of the hole transporting compound in the organic layer which is formed closest to the hole injecting electrode. When three or more organic layers contain a hole transporting compound, the concentration of the hole transporting compound contained in each organic layer can be set such that, as the organic layer is further away from the hole injecting electrode, the concentration is lower.

  • Publication number: 20050264964
Abstract: This invention includes a circuit (11) to be protected and an ESD protection circuit (2) which protects the circuit (11) to be protected against electrostatic discharge. The circuit (11) to be protected includes a bipolar transistor (TR1), and the emitter of the bipolar transistor (TR1) is connected to an external connection terminal (3). A current limiting element (Z) is provided between the collector of the bipolar transistor (TR1) and a first power supply terminal (4). When a negative ESD pulse is applied to the external connection terminal (3) with respect to a power supply voltage of the first power supply terminal (4), the current limiting element (Z) limits the emitter current of the bipolar transistor (TR1) and protects the transistor (TR1) against any breakdown.

  • Publication number: 20050218768
Abstract: An organic electroluminescent apparatus essentially includes an organic electroluminescent device, a color filter layer and a substrate. The color filter layer is made of four layers, a red color filter layer, a green color filter layer, a blue color filter layer, and a blue-green color filter layer. The color filter layer is formed between the organic EL device and the substrate. The blue-green color filter layer converts white light emitted from a light emitting layer at a color temperature in the range from 3000 K to 4500 K into white light having high purity at a color temperature of 6500 K.

  • Patent number: 6931237
Abstract: A communication apparatus is provided which employs two oscillators to generate a transmission signal and a reception signal, and prevents harmful spurious components from being produced. As shown in FIGS. 9A and 9B, the oscillation frequency fVCO2 of a VCO 2 is given by fVCO2=N×(2×fDD), where fDD is the difference between the transmit frequency fT and receive frequency fR. A 3/(2×N) frequency multiplier outputs a signal with a frequency 3×fDD, and a divide-by-N circuit (2/(2×N) frequency multiplier) outputs a signal with a frequency 2×fDD. Thus the transmit intermediate frequency fTIF is given by fTIF=3×fDD, and the receive intermediate frequency fRIF is given by fRIF=2×fDD. The oscillation frequency fVCO1 of a VCO 1 is fCH. The transmit frequency fT is given by fT=fCH+fTIF=fCH+3×fDD. The circuit can prevent a transmission spurious problem to its own reception band.

  • Patent number: 5053287
Abstract: Magnetooptical recording media according to the present invention are disclosed. By virtue of comprising films of Nd-Dy-Co, Nd-M-Fe or Nd-M-Fe-Co alloy system (in which M denotes Tb, Dy or Ho) having a magnetic easy axis perpendicular to the film, the present magnetooptical recording media have such advantages that there is not any fear of lowering magnetic properties owing to the oxidation of the alloy films, and that there is no need of heating substrates when said alloy films are intended to be formed on the substrates. Accordingly, these alloy films can be formed even on such substrates composed of organic materials such as plastics. Moreover, magnetooptical recording media which comprise the alloy films in accordance with the present invention have excellent magnetic properties such as perpendicular magnetic, anisotropic energy in direction normal to the film, coercive force and saturation magnetization, particularly in point of coercive force.

  • Patent number: 4247911
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved method and apparatus for driving a magnetic bubble device, in which a d-c voltage supply and drive coils are connected to a bridge circuit consisting of four bi-directional switches, and alternating currents with steps (such as currents consisting of triangular waves or trapezoidal waves) are produced in the drive coils by suitably controlling the turn on or off of the bi-directional switches. As a result, the d-c level in the alternating current is not shifted by the variation in width of pulses which control the opening and closing of the bi-directional switches, and the magnetic bubble device is provided with a greatly improved operation margin.
