  • Patent number: 7819668
Abstract: The present invention provides an electrical connecting apparatus in which no strong stress acts on a coupling portion of an arm portion continuing into a base portion by a moment force acting on the arm portion. A probe sheet comprising a probe sheet main body and a plurality of probes formed to be protruded from one surface of the probe sheet main body is provided. For formation of the arm portion of the probe, a metal material for an arm main body portion continuing into a probe tip portion is deposited on a base table with an approximately uniform height dimension. Also, a metal material for a reinforcing portion constituting an arm portion together with the arm main body portion is deposited at an area on the arm main body portion distanced from the probe tip portion with an approximately uniform height dimension.

  • Publication number: 20100105224
Abstract: An electrical connecting device includes a supporting substrate, a plate spring arranged on the supporting substrate, an assembling device for assembling the plate spring to the supporting substrate, a block having a mounting surface facing down, and a flexible circuit board whereupon a plurality of contacts are formed. The block has the mounting surface which protrudes downward from the supporting substrate, for mounting the circuit board. The plate spring is applied with an initial load to be in a status where at least a center region whereupon the block is mounted is urged upward. Thus, excellent electric contact status can be obtained without increasing an over drive quantity.

  • Publication number: 20090213727
Abstract: A voice packet communications system which objectively evaluates the voice quality in real time. Voice packets received from a network are input into an adjustment circuit. The adjustment circuit evens out the periods of the voice packets, detects the drop-out of voice packets, and inserts substitute packets in the voice packet sequence. Furthermore, the adjustment circuit outputs the number of voice packets that have dropped out, the number of substitute packets that have been inserted, and the number of voice packets that have accumulated inside the circuit, as quality information in each monitoring period. A decoding circuit converts the voice packets adjusted by the adjustment circuit into voice information. A judgement circuit calculates an index that indicates the communications quality of the voice packets from the quality information using a specified calculation formula.

  • Publication number: 20090175496
Abstract: The present invention relates to image processing apparatus and method, a recording medium, and a program for providing reliable tracking of a tracking point. When a right eye 502 of a human face 504 serving as a tracking point is tracked in a frame n?1 and when a tracking point 501 appears as in a frame n, the tracking point 501 continues to be tracked. When, as in a frame n+1, the right eye 502 serving as the tracking point 501 disappears due to the rotation of the face 504 of an object to be tracked, the tracking point is transferred to a left eye 503, which is a different point of the face 504 serving as the object including the right eye 502. The present invention is applicable to a security camera system.

  • Patent number: 7460178
Abstract: An image processing apparatus executes image processing on an original image. The image processing apparatus includes a display unit configured to display adjusting images each corresponding to a part or the entirety of the original image; a setting unit allowing setting of values of parameters defining respective degrees of the image processing for the adjusting images such that the values differ among the adjusting images; and an operating unit allowing specification of one of the adjusting images by an external operation. When one of the adjusting images is specified using the operating unit, the setting unit modifies the values of the parameters defining the respective degrees of the image processing for the other adjusting images so that the values for the other adjusting images are approximated to the values for the specified adjusting image. The display unit displays the adjusting images according to the respective modified degrees of the image processing.

  • Publication number: 20080053120
Abstract: An air conditioner includes an outdoor unit, an indoor unit and a plurality of communication pipes. The outdoor unit including has a gas close valve, a compressor driven by a compressor motor controlled by an inverter, an outdoor heat exchanger, an electrically powered expansion valve, and a liquid close valve. The an indoor unit has an indoor heat exchanger. The communication pipes interconnect the outdoor unit and the indoor unit. The air conditioner determines, on the basis of compressor power supplied to the compressor motor from the inverter, whether or not a pump down operation is being performed in a state of a refrigeration cycle operation that causes the indoor heat exchanger to function as an evaporator of refrigerant. When the pump down operation is being performed, the air conditioner stops the compressor after a predetermined stop time has elapsed.

  • Patent number: 6826496
Abstract: Circuitry for detecting tonal signals, each of which has a particular nature in the frequency or time domain, while distinguishing them from each other. A rough frequency analyzer roughly analyzes an input signal in an entire frequency band with lower accuracy in the frequency or time domain, thereby roughly distinguishing the tonal signals. Detectors, each of which is associated with a subband occupied by a particular target tonal signal, detect the attribute of the power variation of the target tonal signal with respect to time with higher accuracy in the direction of the frequency or time domain to thereby finely identify the target tonal signal. A controller selectively enables and disables the detectors in accordance with the results from the detectors. One of the detectors is enabled which is selected under the control of the controller.
