  • Publication number: 20020147556
Abstract: Circuitry for detecting tonal signals, each of which has a particular nature in the frequency or time domain, while distinguishing them from each other. A rough frequency analyzer roughly analyzes an input signal in an entire frequency band with lower accuracy in the frequency or time domain, thereby roughly distinguishing the tonal signals. Detectors, each of which is associated with a subband occupied by a particular target tonal signal, detect the attribute of the power variation of the target tonal signal with respect to time with higher accuracy in the direction of the frequency or time domain to thereby finely identify the target tonal signal. A controller selectively enables and disables the detectors in accordance with the results from the detectors. One of the detectors is enabled which is selected under the control of the controller.

  • Publication number: 20020064186
Abstract: A voice packet communications system which objectively evaluates the voice quality in real time. Voice packets received from a network are input into an adjustment circuit. The adjustment circuit evens out the periods of the voice packets, detects the drop-out of voice packets, and inserts substitute packets in the voice packet sequence. Furthermore, the adjustment circuit outputs the number of voice packets that have dropped out, the number of substitute packets that have been inserted, and the number of voice packets that have accumulated inside the circuit, as quality information in each monitoring period. A decoding circuit converts the voice packets adjusted by the adjustment circuit into voice information. A judgement circuit calculates an index that indicates the communications quality of the voice packets from the quality information using a specified calculation formula.

  • Patent number: 6272413
Abstract: While a crawler body 110 is traveling, infrared sensors 144 and an elevational difference calculator 132 incorporated in a controller 130 detects the magnitude of a step present ahead of the crawler body 110. A safety speed calculator 134 calculates a safety speed based on the magnitude of the step detected and on the position of the platform 116 relative to the crawler body 110, which position is detected by various detectors 141˜143 and by a position calculator 133. A comparator 135 compares this safety speed with the traveling speed of the crawler body 110, and if the current speed of the crawler body 110 is greater than the safety speed, then the comparator 135 outputs a warning signal. Upon receiving this signal, a restrictor 136 controls a valve controller 131 to reduce the speed of the crawler body 110 such that the crawler body 110 can travel over the step safely.

  • Patent number: 6216969
Abstract: A fishing reel has an anti-reverse mechanism for preventing a reel spool or other rotary member from being undesirably rotated by pulling force acting in the direction in which the fishing line is unwound. The anti-reverse mechanism is provided with a one-way bearing connected to the reel body through a ratchet wheel and pawl. It is possible to effect reliable anti-reverse operation and minimize the slipping angle and impact force when anti-reverse operation is effected. According to one embodiment, a rotary handle shaft member extends between a reel support plate and an outer plate parallel to a spool shaft, with an inner end of the handle shaft rotatably supported by the support plate through a bearing while an outer, other end portion of the shaft is rotatably supported through a bearing unit slidably but prevented from rotating, i.e., being fixed within a cylindrical portion provided on the outer plate.

  • Patent number: 6189823
Abstract: A fishing reel having side plates which can be attached to and detached from frames of a reel body with higher efficiency. In this fishing reel, a retaining ring is fitted into a fitting groove that is formed on a receiving portion of a left-hand side plate, whereupon the movable range of a left-hand ring member is restricted by the retaining ring that partially projects from the fitting groove. Thus, the ring member can always be supported for rotation on the receiving portion of the left-hand side plate without being disengaged from it.

  • Patent number: 6126105
Abstract: In a double bearing type reel (1) for fishing, a spool (3) is fixed to a spool shaft (5) pivotally supported by a reel body so that the spool (3) rotates integrally with the spool shaft (5). A movable body (25) is attached to the spool shaft (5) so that the movable body (25) rotates integrally with the spool shaft (5). The movable body (25) is capable of moving in the axial direction of the spool shaft (5). A centrifugal force operation arm (34) is rotated by a centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the spool (3) so as to move the movable body (25) in the axial direction of the spool shaft (5). A braking force generating means (13, 14) is provided for giving a braking force acting on the spool (3) via the movable body (25) when the movable body (25) is moved along the spool shaft (5) by a predetermined distance so that the braking force corresponds to a distance of movement of the movable body 25.

  • Patent number: 6047913
Abstract: A protrusion, which has three stepped recesses inside, is formed on an outer surface of a spool cover at the center which is a confronting member of a spool. A thrust bearing is fixedly set in the bottom of the recess, and a bearing is fitted in the recess. A guide member is fitted in the recess. The guide member and the bearing are prevented from coming off by a spring washer. The guide member has an inserting hole into which a spool shaft is inserted which is slightly larger in diameter than the inside diameter of the bearing. The guide member has a tapered guide surface around the inserting hole to guide the spool shaft to the inserting hole. • Patent number: 5941471
Abstract: A double bearing type reel for fishing in which a series of operations from changing over the clutch to thumbing can be smoothly, quickly and easily conducted. A clutch changeover operation member is provided to conduct a changeover operation of the clutch mechanism by being displaced in the longitudinal direction of the reel. The operational member is arranged at a position at which the clutch changeover operation member can be operated by a finger tip of a thumb when the thumb is extended diagonally from a hand of a fisher man who holds the reel body. A finger setting section is arranged in the operation member in the direction of diagonally extending thumb of the hand of the fisher man holding the reel body in such a manner that the finger setting section diagonally cross the longitudinal direction of the reel body, so that the operation member for changing over the clutch is operated when the thumb is set in the finger setting section.

  • Patent number: 5901913
Abstract: In a fishing reel, a rotary body (a drive gear) has an accommodating section at the center which includes a round hole and a recess. The accommodating section accommodates the thick annular liner of a brake member in a brake device, and the detection brake body. The liner is made of felt, cork, leather or fiber-reinforced synthetic resin. The detection brake body is in the form of a disk, and is mounted on a shaft, which is a handle shaft. The bottom surface of the recess of the rotary body is formed into the uneven portion. The detection brake body has a through-hole, to which one end portion of the detecting piece is secured, for instance, by spot welding, and the other end portion of the detecting piece is extended so as to be engageable with the uneven portion. When the liner is worn out to a predetermined value, the detecting piece is contacted and engaged with the uneven portion to generate a sound.
