  • Publication number: 20080004833
Abstract: The method serves for the nondestructive determination of all or particular selected inner dimensions and/or outer dimensions of a shoe, boot or the like and/or the outer dimensions of a last that is used to make a shoe. To this end, use is made of a measuring arrangement which detects and/or images the inner area of the shoe and/or the surface of the last in three dimensions and is used by a radiological, computer tomographic, NMR tomographic or other imaging measurement method, which penetrates the sole and upper of the shoe and scans the surface of the last, to determine and store cross-sectional images in layers. After this, the cross-sectional images are used to determine typical fixed points or virtual points, which are based on the shape of the foot, and connecting lines which extend between said points and can run in the plane of the sectional images or else in any desired orientation with respect to the latter.

  • Publication number: 20070255520
Abstract: There is disclosed a device and a method for identifying parameters of at least one field device used in automation technology. To simplify the assignment of parameters to field devices in automated systems, the behaviour of the field device is monitored and operating information that describes said field device behaviour is recorded. Said operating information is stored in a first memory area, a manufacturer-independent field device model is stored in a second memory area and model parameters belonging to the manufacturer-independent field device model are identified on the basis of the operating information with the aid of a processing unit.

  • Publication number: 20060212268
Abstract: The invention relates to a method, a computer program product and an engineering system for creating a diagnostic model of an automation system made up of various automation components. The diagnostic model is generated automatically during the project planning phase of the automation system. Within the diagnostic model the automation components are represented by model nodes. Functional and/or physical relationships between the automation components are mapped by links between the corresponding model nodes within the diagnostic model. Each model node contains status information in which the status of the associated automation component is stored. By evaluating the status information, the status of the automation system can be investigated and monitored with the aid of the diagnostic model.

  • Patent number: 6193318
Abstract: A sitting and/or lying arrangement, particularly a vehicle seat or airplane seat, has a stable subframe and a flexible support which has a base part and a cushion. For creating such an arrangement, in which the user's body is anatomically correctly supported such that the body can relax and no pressure points are formed, the base part consists of a transversely stiff but longitudinally flexible material and is implemented, for example, by a thin, corrugated spring plate made of spring steel, carbon fibers, glass fibers or kevlar fibers, titanium and the like.

  • Patent number: 5720118
Abstract: The invention provides an inlay for a shoe. The inlay extends at least within the forefoot region and comprises one piece of a hard plate material of uniform thickness. The plate material is formed with a profiling provided transversely to the longitudinal direction of the sole of the shoe. The transverse profiling extends at least throughout substantially the entire forefoot region of the inlay. The profiling has a cross-section consisting of periodically repeating cross-sectional profile elements, each of the cross-sectional profile elements comprising a ridge and a recess. The plate material is a resilient plate material.

  • Patent number: 5477909
Abstract: A mold sand is regenerated with or without mixing with new sand and followed by the addition of binder to it by fluidizing the sand in a chamber as it passes from an inlet to an outlet which can be a step or downcomer opening into the mixer. Compressed air is forced from below through the sand and entrains away small particles while coarse particles or heavy pieces are collected in a discharge unit which can be opened from time to time to carry away the coarse materials.

  • Patent number: 5363825
Abstract: A hydraulic coupling and an electrical plug connection supply an electric fuel injection valve with fuel and electric power through a distributor rail associated with a plurality of injection valves. The parts of all of the couplings and plug connections for the injection valves connected to the distributor rail extend in parallel directions to that a single relative motion between the distributor rail and the valves is sufficient to make all the connections. To facilitate repair, the distributor rail components of the plug connections are individually detachably mounted in the distributor rail under a common removable cover.

  • Patent number: 5096836
Abstract: At least two layers are fixed together at a distance so that a gap is present between them, wherein the layers are connected with one another by a plurality of discrete melt adhesive regions, intermediate spaces being present between the melt adhesive regions so that a liquid transport in the gap between the layers is assured through the intermediate spaces. To produce this test carrier, the melt adhesive in the form of discrete regions, between which intermediate spaces are present, is applied to a first layer material in a thickness which is greater than the desired gap and a second layer material is pressed against the melt adhesive regions while the melt adhesive is still sufficiently hot in order to be bindable in such a manner that it binds with the melt adhesive but a gap remains between the layer materials.

  • Patent number: 5001479
Abstract: A method and circuit arrangement is disclosed for converting Gray code signals into counting pulses, forming a counter status, detecting interference signals infringing the Gray code and for forming an error signal with a network defining a finite automaton according to Moore or Mealy, wherein the network forms no error signal when a Gray code infringement is followed by a second Gray code infringement. The disclosed network arrangement in one embodiment comprises a quadruple interpolator (quadrature decoder) for precision dimension measuring machines with optoelectronic scale scanning. Interruptions of the measuring procedure and errors are reduced by not generating an error signal when a Gray code infringement is followed by a second Gray code infringement.
