  • Patent number: 4821654
Abstract: In order to rationalize the operation of foundries and to avoid environmental stresses, it is endeavored so to rework used molding sand accruing as black sand and to free it from binder residue, so that this sand can be used without restriction like new sand. To achieve this aim through thermo-mechanical regeneration the black sand is heated in predetermined, relative low height layer in a fluidized bed furnace to a temperature exceeding 500.degree. C., preferably 750.degree. C. Through the swirling motions of the heated black sand, preferably supported through strong vibrations of the supporting base, the thermal destruction of the enveloping binder particles and a mechanical liberation of the sand grains form their enveloping binder remains is achieved. By means of a forced throughout (e.g.

  • Patent number: 4461519
Abstract: With the continual increase in various kinds of technical office equipment, the problem arises of laying the necessary cables as far as possible out of sight. To this end, spaces for cable installations are to be provided in the side walls of cupboards. For this purpose, the side walls of cupboards consist of a metal frame (4) sandwiched between two cover plates (28; 29). The cover plates are screwed to the metal frame (4). Screwed to the metal Frame (4) is a U-section metal strip which is overlapped by a U-section cover strip (23) of resilient plastics material. A space is formed between the two cover plates for cable installations, which is accessible from the front of the cupboard.

  • Patent number: 4435103
Abstract: A furniture frame includes a first frame part with a dowel extending beyond the end thereof into an opening in a second frame part. A securing screw is provided in the second frame part at right-angles to the dowel axis. When the screw is tightened, two abutting surfaces inclined at an angle to the central plane of the dowel are pressed against corresponding, inclined surfaces in the opening. A releasable, but nevertheless very rigid connection of the various elements is thus achieved.

  • Patent number: 4296981
Abstract: A desk with a channel which extends directly below the table top on the backside thereof and which is removably guided in the desk. The channel has a U or L-shaped profile for receiving cables and wires therein. The outer leg of the profile is in alignment, in the retracted condition thereof, with the desk wall and has openings for facilitating an exiting of the cables and wires therethrough. At least on one side of the channel which extends parallel to the table top there is secured a further channel extending perpendicularly to the channel and which extends downwardly. This further channel together with the first channel is movable and can be moved into a recess in a base of the desk and has a connection to the horizontally extending channel.
