  • Patent number: 7247993
Abstract: The invention relates to an ion accelerator arrangement which uses a combination of a magnetic field having a cusp structure and a cross-section of an ionisation chamber that is extended in one direction transversally in relation to the longitudinal axis. This enables the ionic current to be advantageously scaled.

  • Publication number: 20050285101
Abstract: Provided herein is a method for altering an electronic property of a structure comprising an oxide surface or an oxide surface in electronic communication with the structure, the method comprising providing a covalently-bound film comprising at least one organic acid residue on a portion of the oxide surface so that at least one of the following properties of the structure is modified: (a) the charge carrier injection barrier properties; (b) the charge conductivity properties; (c) the charge transport properties; (d) the work function properties; (e) the sub-threshold slope; and (f) the threshold voltage.

  • Publication number: 20050212442
Abstract: For an ion accelerator system having a special magnetic field structure with an alternating predominantly longitudinal and crosswise progression of the magnetic field, a geometry of the ionization chamber having a non-cylindrical shape of the chamber wall that is adapted to the progression of the magnetic field is proposed.

  • Patent number: 6873159
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for monitoring a capacitor bushing (1) to which an electrical operating voltage (UB) is applied and in which a voltage divider is formed with an electrically conductive insert (4), whereby at least one measured value (UM1) of an electrical measured quantity (UM) is recorded and stored by using a measuring tap (7), which is connected to the insert (4), and by using each potential. The aim of the invention is to improve the method so that it is only slightly influenced by changes in the operating voltage. To this end, the impedance (ZE) between the measuring tap (7) and the earth potential is modified after recording the at least one measured value (UM1), and at least one signal value (US1) of a measurement signal (US) subsequently formed is recorded and stored using the measuring tap (7) and the earth potential.

  • Patent number: 6452109
Abstract: A bushing for a high electric voltage has a casing through which a central conductor is passed so that it is electrically insulated. Conducting liners spaced a distance apart are arranged concentrically around the central conductor, a combination which functions as a dielectric and is composed of one layer of film and one layer of a nonwoven being provided between the liners. The film and the nonwoven material are each made of plastic, so their water content is very low, and therefore the drying time in manufacturing of the bushing is shortened.
